Exactly where are you getting 80%, by the way?

sounds like they weren't very loyal then, lol
What I meant was the loyal XBOX customers were one of a large portion of Microsoft investors. Windows 8 is good for tablet PCs but they made a huge mistake of making it a standard for a normal computers. This isn't the matter of lacking of the start button but a sudden change of user interface that caused people to avoid windows 8.
To my knowledge, while Windows 8 isn't the success that Windows 7 was, it's relative growth matches most other Windows releases. Considering how much the PC market has grown that's not really bad. It's sitting at 5.1% right now 9 months after release.
And really, people got too accustomed to the start menu which pretty much lost its purpose when the Superbar was implemented. Sure, there's some people that actually pinned programs to it, but overall it might as well have been replaced by a simple search bar (much the same way Mac OSX works with the dock and Spotlight) the way people were using it.
And pre-orders show that while the Xbox One probably won't "win" this generation (as the 360 did the last), there's still a big demand for it. Most of the outcry was from people like you and me, not the "loyal xbox-fanboy". Most people won't give a damn is what I'm saying.
For every bandwagon there's always that guy who has to create one that goes in the opposite direction.
One guy isn't a bandwagon, it's almost like you missed the definition of it.
And it's not like a bandwagon is something positive anyway, so one guy going against can't really be all that bad, can it?
Windows 8 isn't terrible: Metro is. Just install a start menu button, disable hot corners and you've basicly got a better version of windows 7, plus you never even have to enter the metro menu.
Well tell Microsoft to include a Startmenu and disable hot corners by default, also included transparency and perhaps their shares will go up. I think they planned for this, I mean why not include a start menu?

Oh yeah one final thing, I'm obviously not a professional in the field of finance but yeah don't think 'oh the value of MS stock just dropped I better buy low so I can sell high!'. If you are very serious about buying stock I would greatly recommend a thorough analysis of recent financial statements released by Microsoft before making any decision. Same goes for any firm on the stock market. Common sense really, but obviously some Facepunchers lacked that when they saw THQ do that Humble Bundle thing and thought it would reverse the fate of the company (and so they bought stocks), despite the fact that the firm was going to collapse imminently regardless.
I'm not professional either but MSFT will eventually bounce back up. Also I've already a nice amount from Tesla earlier in the year.
