If I remember correctly, lying on a claim form for a class action settlement counts and would be prosecuted as perjury, since it is considered to be a testimony of damages.

This is why you save receipts. A lot of people are going to lie for money, so each person will get pocket change in return. Only people with proof will get anything worth-while.

This isn't worth arguing over so I'm just going to post this and leave, but that is an extremely naive and immature mindset.
This isn't just a question about the money, it is about the ethics of lying about purchasing the product and taking away the money from the people who rightfully deserved it. If even just 100 people fraudulently registered with this lawsuit, that is a potential $4500 taken away from the pool.

When making a claim it'd just ask how much you spent overall so I assume everyone just got a certain amount based on what they said, and for those who had proof they got more maybe. I said about $40 but I didn't have the receipts for it.
