jfc america stay the fuck out world politics
what are you an idiot? wars of aggression are illegal and furthermore immoral, if russia invades crimea or further into ukraine it's completely a war of aggression and they should be put the fuck down, even if the U.N. doesn't manage to pass a sanction, NATO doesn't have to have a U.N. order to invade and they will if putin takes ukraine
Hey Putin, whatcha thinkin' about? Oh I don't know, violations of international law I guess.
"Like, oh my gawd Putin, you're invading Ukraine? You bitch! Cut that out you whore before I do more than defriend you on Facebook" "Come on, girlfriend, don't be that way with me! I just had you over for my huge party last week, and now you're bringing up this shit? Ugh, we both know you ain't gonna do shit girl, so don't talk the talk when you ain't gonna walk the walk" "Yeah well at least I'm not fucking Yanukovych you slut"
Not our responsibility or problem. A lot of the shit we get ourselves into start out by Washington shopping for war in places it doesn't need to be in. They fucking LOVE war. But go ahead. Plan to cut the defense budget and reduce the size of the army before provoking a war with Russia. Makes a lot of sense
We signed a damn treaty to protect them. Guess what, they need protecting now. Are we going to be "that country" and worm our way out of fulfilling our obligations?
Pass the popcorn

Makes a lot of sense
again, isolationism does not work in a global system, if we let russia take ukraine, then we might as well let them waltz on into the rest of the old soviet block, it totally is our problem, Ukraine is reaching out to the EU and by virtue of alliance, us, also you have the threat of the largest nation in the region anexing a sovereign state and installing a dictator, its completely our business
Pretty much the US's policy.
[Originally, along the lines of why does America have to act like the world police?]

jfc america stay the fuck out world politics

Not our responsibility or problem. From what I saw in another thread, they're even going up and taking pictures with them.
That's the Crimeans, and in all honesty, they should be given their own state if they want.
Well then appears I was wrong. I retract my earlier statement.
Hopefully nothing too bad comes of this. Might end up being noted in the history books as something similar to the stand off between the Russian freighter and the Navy down by Cuba (Can't think of the name of it.).
If NATO or the UN don't respond to this accordingly they'll lose every bit of legitimacy they hold. Just like the retaliation when the SAA gassed civilians. Oh wait-
Hopefully nothing too bad comes of this. Might end up being noted in the history books as something similar to the stand off between the Russian freighter and the Navy down by Cuba (Can't think of the name of it.).
You mean the Cuban Missile Crisis?
You mean the Cuban Missile Crisis?
That's the one. Again, couldn't remember the name.
That's the one. Again, couldn't remember the name.
The CMC had more potential for total nuclear war though. What's going to most likely happen is that Obama's going to pussy out and Russia will reclaim the Crimea.
We signed a damn treaty to protect them. Guess what, they need protecting now. Are we going to be "that country" and worm our way out of fulfilling our obligations?
We ignored our treaty with Vietnam after leaving (Paris Peace Accords). So there's plenty of precedence. The democrat controlled congress voted to not appropriate the funds required to uphold our end of the accord and therefore betray our promises to the Vietnamese, leading to mass slaughter.
Cold War 2: Putin on da ritz.
FTFY
I'll be quite honest, this has me scared shitless. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic, but the prospect of the next global conflict, maybe even the next world war, is starting to look increasingly more realistic by the moment. The next few days will be interesting, to say the least.
Maybe Germany, Italy, France, and Britain should do something. Why would you want the imperialist corporate-controlled, warmongering U.S. to do anything? Have the great nations of Sweden and Norway stop the Russians. We're half way around the world.
Why would you want the imperialist corporate-controlled, warmongering U.S. to do anything?
But...you live in this "imperialist corporate controlled warmongering country"...
But...you live in this "imperialist corporate controlled warmongering country"...
Yeah and? I don't necessarily agree or disagree with his statement. But just because he lives here currently doesn't mean he enjoys living here, or that he has to approve of everything about the country, or that he even had any choice in the matter. It's not like a minor could fly off to a different country and apply for citizenship, assuming he is one just as an example.
But the word "American Imperialist" just keeps sounding dumber and dumber the more I hear it. Seriously, it's not that bad :v: Ok enough of that, time to get back to fearing Russia and nukes.

So yeah my dad legit thinks this is the beginning of the apocalypse if "obama doesnt watch it"
But...you live in this "imperialist corporate controlled warmongering country"...
Maybe I don't want it to suffer another war because of shit happening in Europe.
Maybe I don't want it to suffer another war because of shit happening in Europe.
wow self centered douche.
Maybe I don't want it to suffer another war because of shit happening in Europe.
Yeah let Europe get bruised. As long as America gets to sit over here with thumbs up our asses.
wow self centered douche.
The situation in Ukraine has literally nothing to do with America. American involvement will only make the situation worse. Why is the U.S. even relevant in the conversation?
The situation in Ukraine has literally nothing to do with America. American involvement will only make the situation worse. Why is the U.S. even relevant in the conversation?
Because the US signed the Budapest Memorandum.
