A possible international war doesn't even sell on the nightly news anymore.
"Why should I give a fuck".

Not sure what news you're watching.
Also the dumb "watching the Kardashians" is a tired cliche. People aren't dumb, people actually care about what goes on in the world.

I wish it was true.

Speaking from experience, most people don't really care about anything it seems.

Not true, shitloads of people don't give a single fuck about stuff. Look at how only small minority of people participate in, say, meetings, rallies and stuff. Others either "have an opinion", and the biggest group is people who don't think about it altogether.

Uncertain, a lot of people will care and read the news but they won't do anything else and they will move on with their lives indifferent to the events, unless it affects them.
Now where did I put that old nuclear bunker from '99?

The same exact thing can be said about almost every FPer who's paying attention to these threads. With the exception of the few Ukrainians and Russians who post here (and even their ability to affect anything is dubious at best), what exactly do you think people can do about this crisis other than read up and stay as informed as possible.

Most don't even do that.

I can imagine every call between Obama and Putin going sort of like this.
Napoleon and Hitler were both overconfident idiots who didn't think about the logistical issues involved with invading a bigass country such as Russia
[editline]2nd March 2014[/editline]
Hitler also ended up being overextended on multiple fronts
and of course they both got fucked over by the weather
Didn't russia surrender in ww1? And only got back on foot and fighting germany after britain and the us financed the russians heavily? I remember reading about this on wikipedia, british troops securing the northern ports of russia such as murmansk etc.
