Doesn't seem too different from being extremely underweight tbh

Being chubby or curvy is not unhealthy compared to skinniness most fashion models retain.

She's not chubby or curvy, she's fat. Not to mention chubby is gross.
Haha wow, you really screwed the pooch on this one OP.
So, Being unhealthy is a social trend now. Alright.
pretty much yeah.
It's not that being unhealthy is a trend, it's more of being lazy is now socially acceptable. The food culture is huge, everyone loves nutella, cake and pizza. Combine that with lazy and you get a feel good movement of acceptance for their lifestyle.
Isn't she that fat bitch I see all the time on TV in unflateringly skimpy clothing lip syncing popular pop songs?

I legit thought that plus size is starting right above semi-skinny, not lardass.
I legit thought that plus size is starting right above semi-skinny, not lardass.
Right above semi-skinny is normal/average. Plus size is when you take the average and add plus fat to it.
it's not like we have a type 2 diabetes epidemic across the globe and bunch of other obesity-related diseases running rampant or anything, gotta promote it some more.
You people get easily upset over one oversized person, oh no she's fat, she is totally promoting an unhealthy lifestyle with the influence she totally has!
Why do you care about other peoples opinion of genders anyways?
Why does anyone care at all about anyone's opinions? Why do we have forums?

One? There's at least 3 mainstream fat models now.
One? There's at least 3 mainstream fat models now.
That's still not a high number.
That's still not a high number.
You don't need a high number, you need "charming" persona that can inspire. One is enough in quite a lot of times.
Question: is this any more or less unhealthy than the insane standards for modern models?
Question: is this any more or less unhealthy than the insane standards for modern models?
Can't really compare, they're both bad, for different reasons. Don't go to either extremes.
I legit thought that plus size is starting right above semi-skinny, not lardass.
not anymore, plus size = obese now
Question: is this any more or less unhealthy than the insane standards for modern models?
More.
Being very overweight is extremely bad for you, and I daresay it's worse than being very underweight.

More than seven years later her”Japanese Beyonce” glam game is still going strong, appearing alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race contestant Shangela last month in Las Vegas.

Man, that whole performance here looked like a lot of fun. Video shows more of Shangela (it is their channel), but Watanabe's got some great energy going for her.

She was a he though, right?
there's been a few chubby idol groups emerging and stuff, its a push toward more acceptance
japan is very strict on weight as compared to the western world iirc, the "trend" of pocchari is very recent and is a push for self acceptance
Fascinating, is there anything you could look to that demonstrates this? This isn't a part of Japanese culture I've heard any about!

Lol, and who are you? Anyway, she's doing a rad job at that Single Ladies cover and looks very done-up, you're just being a cunt.

Metabo law (a waist size limit law in a way), 3.5% obesity rate (top 10 lowest)
strict maybe wasnt the best word. but, from what I understand, being overweight is something that makes you stand out in a shameful way?
i've never lived there so take what im saying with a grain of salt! its just what ive read about over time. there's a lot of articles about weight in japan that you can find. heres one
She a pretty good actress. I've watched 2 series with her in it and she pretty funny. She hasn 't done much acting wise though.
