No I never said I favored any side
Wrong choice of words. Sorry.
I'm not apart IDF so I wouldn't know and it's irrelevant.
Yes it is fucking relevant. It doesn't make any sense that they would place cameras in a part that is Lebanese territory, nor doing it in the middle of the day.
It's easy to talk about how ineffective the shelling is when it's not landing in your backyard, huh?
What the fuck are you talking about, I took a stab at Ohadje, not the so-called ineffective shelling. Quit trying to assume that I approve of the wrongs.
What the fuck are you talking about, I took a stab at Ohadje, not the so-called ineffective shelling. Quit trying to assume that I approve of the wrongs.
Sour puss.
Damn, those snipers did a good job if they managed to kill a batallion commander and wound a company commander.
Damn, those snipers did a good job if they managed to kill a batallion commander and wound a company commander.
Death is never good.
Damn, those snipers did a good job if they managed to kill a batallion commander and wound a company commander.
Who weren't even ready for an attack? Yeah, good job. "Cleared for publication: IDF Lieutenant Colonel Dov Harari killed in border skirmish with Lebanese army Tuesday; another commander seriously wounded. Troops stepped into planned ambush, army says" http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3929729,00.html
Death is never good.
Ok, "good" was the wrong word, but still, that is some pretty immense skill on their part. [editline]06:01PM[/editline]
Who weren't even ready for an attack? Yeah, good job. Planned ambushes take a lot of skill to pull off.

Because justifying an unprovoked attack is ok as long as you don't like whoever is getting attacked.
According to the Israeli media the IDF claims that the shooting was done by Lebanese soldiers who were members of Hizballah. This isn't suprising. This week the international court will decide whether Hizballah assassinated the Lebanese president, Rafik Alhariri in 2005 - and Hizballah wants to direct the fire somewhere else.
Well there's your problem.
Uha, whatever.
And now Assad joins the party. From what I read you're correct. The IDF did a military drill in that area to prepare to against cases of kidnaps/attempted kidnaps. It was Lebanon who violated Israel's sovereignty in this case.
israel violates borders, lebanaon tells them to gtfo, israel doesn't comply, lebanaon retaliates FREE ISRAEL!

Hizballa was behind this move I bet.
Was about to post that when I saw his comment. Hizballa was behind this move I bet.
Actually, the IDF believes that the Hezbollah had nothing to do with the attack. Some low ranking commander probably fucked up, thought that the Israeli soldiers were crossing the border and now the government in Lebanon tries to defend him. It's a good thing this incident didn't spark anything bigger than what happened.
http://www.nrg.co.il/online/1/ART2/140/724.html
This is in Hebrew. Do you have a version of this in English?
The UN has officially recognized that the Israelis were in the right.
This is in Hebrew. Do you have a version of this in English?
Nope... I saw this only on NRG and it doesn't have an English version.
Nope... I saw this only on NRG and it doesn't have an English version.
Oh well.. I understand this article, but other people won't... Google translator it is, then.
If the legality of it is in he favour of Israel, why didn't they back off and prove it's their land if they knew Lebanon was going to attack?
If the legality of it is in he favour of Israel, why didn't they back off and prove it's their land if they knew Lebanon was going to attack?
What...? They didn't know they are going to get attacked in their own territory.
Lebanon told them to leave.
Lebanon told them to leave.
Their own territory. And this wasn't even an action by 'Lebanon' or the Lebanese army. It was done by retarded soldiers who were killed as a result of their murderous actions.
Then you leave, ask the UN to prove it's theirs then go back and remove the tree. Shouldn't have been too hard if it was Israels territory.
