Then you leave, ask the UN to prove it's theirs then go back and remove the tree. Shouldn't have been too hard if it was Israels territory.
What do you mean? They attacked the Israelis while they were removing a tree inside their territory, killed one Israeli high commander and wounding another high commander (who were watching the removal of the tree from far ahead) so the IDF responded (the soldiers there were under fire while the artillery was used) with artillery towards the shooters, killing them. Israel did go to the UN after the incident and made a complaint against Lebanon.
They fired warning shots. At that point, gtfo. They also told them to leave.
They fired warning shots. At that point, gtfo. They also told them to leave.
Oh fuck you, you fire warning shots at soldiers and you expect them to stay calm? That's the dumbest decision making ever. Besides, these warning shots are pointless since they are illegal. For that same reason I can't fire warning shots at your house, because there is no legal reason for me to do so. The Israelis were on the Israeli side of the border.
Pft... You can actually twist everything, it's amazing. How can you fucking claim it was warning shots when these shots killed 1 guy and wounded another guy? It's ISRAELI TERRITORY. They can't tell them what to fucking do. Seriously, man up and admit that Israel was completely right in this case.
Deaths could have been avoided on both sides. Lebanon shouldn't have fired, and Israel shouldn't have stayed there. [editline]09:01PM[/editline] and again, pay attention, the Israelis DID own that territory. So you provide evidence to the Lebanese that they owned that territory.
Deaths could have been avoided on both sides. Lebanon shouldn't have fired, and Israel shouldn't have stayed there.
No, Israel should have stayed there. No one tells someone else what to do in his fucking territory. It's solely the Lebanese soldiers' who shot fault.
and again, pay attention, the Israelis DID own that territory. So you provide evidence to the Lebanese that they owned that territory.
Provide evidence? They don't need to provide any evidence. The Lebanese soldiers are supposed to do that before, I don't know, SHOOTING SOMEONE Why didn't they contact someone higher in rank? Why didn't they actually try to confirm that it was their territory? They fucked up, the Israelis had nothing to do with the it.
so the principle of being on your lance is more important then lives? when a day and a half later, which is how much time the UN took to investigate, is worth 4 lives? They couldn't wait an extra day to get rid of the fucking tree?
so the principle of being on your lance is more important then lives? when a day and a half later, which is how much time the UN took to investigate, is worth 4 lives? They couldn't wait an extra day to get rid of the fucking tree?
Oh my fucking god.

But they did and the Israelis decided to stay there and people died. Both sides are at fault.
I already said the Lebanese shouldn't have fired. But they did and the Israelis decided to stay there and people died. Both sides are at fault.
lol.... They fired AT the Israelis. They couldn't run away while being shot at, they needed to take the shooters first. It's common sense.

They had a job to do, which they wanted to finish, and the Lebanese soldiers had no right to fire on them. Israel is a big boy, going to cry to the UN every time shit like that happens would massively lengthen the work every time a mistake happens. It's like blaming a rape victim for not running away, it's fucking bullshit.
No. Actually Lebanon fired warning shots, Israel responded by shelling. Bad move on both parts.
No. Actually Lebanon fired warning shots, Israel responded by shelling. Bad move on both parts.
No... Lebanese soldiers killed an Israeli soldier and wounded another one, THEN Israel responded by shelling.
No. Actually Lebanon fired warning shots, Israel responded by shelling. Bad move on both parts.
These so called "warning shots" killed a man and injured another. Israel fired artillery at the position of the shooters, whats wrong with that? They wanted to eliminate the threat. They have artillery at their disposal, why not use it?
lol.... They fired AT the Israelis. They couldn't run away while being shot at, they needed to take the shooters first. It's common sense.
>told them to leave >fired warning shots are you fucking illiterate? [editline]09:16PM[/editline]
No...
>told them to leave >fired warning shots are you fucking illiterate?
Are you a moron? They DIDN'T shoot any warning shots. They killed a soldier and wounded another one. It takes a real smartass to find any of this incident to blame on Israel. Seems like you're one.
lol, it wasn't like it was all quiet then suddenly the officers head exploded.
lol IT WAS.

For all you know, the Lebanese could have had artillery batteries set up. Then plenty more people would have been killed on BOTH sides. You don't fucking escalate shit. Seems like you're one.
you and burnemdown are the type of people who would defend to the death an IDF soldier like... raping a baby or something, or shooting 10 people in international waters. You fucking people do this shit all the time.
lol IT WAS.
you didn't really READ anything regarding this, did you?
you didn't really READ anything regarding this, did you?
Ugh, I resign. It seems like it's impossible to put any sense in that little empty head of yours.
>told them to leave >fired warning shots are you fucking illiterate? [editline]09:16PM[/editline] lol, it wasn't like it was all quiet then suddenly the officers head exploded.
-told them to leave-Israeli soldiers tell them it's their territory -without even trying to clarify if the territory belongs to them or not, these soldiers fire "warning shots" that kill a commander (who was further away, observing the Israeli soldiers) and injuring another commander that was near him. HOW DOES THIS MAKE ANY FUCKING SENSE
Ugh, I resign. It seems like it's impossible to put any sense in that little empty head of yours.
You're some kid who thinks bullets ALWAYS connect ALL the time. and i'm stupid? really, even though it states they fired warning shots. [editline]09:24PM[/editline]
-told them to leave-Israeli soldiers tell them it's their territory -without even trying to clarify if the territory belongs to them or not, these soldiers fire "warning shots" that kill a commander (who was further away, observing the Israeli soldiers) and injuring another commander that was near him. What do you think the Israeli soldiers thought? Is it- A)Oh, warning shots of course. I should respond by alerting the proper authorities. or B)HOLY SHIT WE'RE BEING SHOT AT It takes a complete lack of brains to think that firing warning shots at soldiers is a good idea.
Ugh, I resign. It seems like it's impossible to put any sense in that little empty head of yours
Irony meter overloading! It's going up! EVERYONE, HIT THE DECK!
or C) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Withdrawal_%28military%29
You don't seem to understand, when you're being shot at, especially in a surprise, it's a better idea to hide in that area and wait to shooters to be taken down rather than run away.
or C) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Withdrawal_%28military%29
Why would they withdraw if they are being shot at? Wouldn't it make more sense to eliminate the shooters? Seriously, what do you expect them to do, never get near the fence ever again? And also, if these were warning shots, how come the 2 officers that got hit were further away from the actual working place, observing the operation? Don't you think it would make more sense to actually shoot the guys working on the fence? Again, it's like trying to blame a rape victim for not running away when he/she got raped.
Of course, in his head, Israel has never done anything wrong bomb a hotel: not their fault kill 9 innocent aid workers in international waters: not their fault Build giant wall and oppress people: FREE ISRAEL bomb Hospital with chemicals: Israel is the one that truly suffers. [editline]09:36PM[/editline]
You don't seem to understand, when you're being shot at, especially in a surprise, it's a better idea to hide in that area and wait to shooters to be taken down rather than run away.
surprise? They were told to leave the land. As well as warning shots. [editline]09:37PM[/editline]
Why would they withdraw if they are being shot at? [editline]09:38PM[/editline] They were OVER the fence.
Warhol, you are, honestly, the dumbest person I've ever witnessed on these boards.
Israel doesn't do anything wrong.
I already fucking said: escalating shit is not good. you shoot back, they'll most likely shoot back, and it escalates.
Oh, so they should just run away and do nothing? They are an army, you know. If someone shoots at you, you shoot back.
They were OVER the fence.
The fence doesn't always (in fact, it almost never) sit on the border. It is sometimes hundreds of meters away from it, for the sole purpose of maintaining the other side.
