Is it really worth arguing about? Borders are tricky things, there isn't actually a line on dirt to say who has authority where. I'm sure if you ask most people where the border is they will point to the wall, not a hundred meters in front of it where the actual border is. Although, one question that has to be asked, is if a Battalion commander was killed, and a Company commander was wounded, how many Israeli soldiers were over the wall? If there was an entire company of troops on the other side of the wall, that could be seen as very provocative by the Lebanese border guards, given the very tense situation there currently is at the Israeli-Lebanese border. Basically, there was confusion, and people died. Then the IDF decided to keep shelling a town for some reason...
There was only 1 guy over the fence. No one shelled a village.
"habla habla our land our land"
Nice bit of racism here.
This wasn't expected. In case it was, the IDF would've obviously acted otherwise. It was a complete surprise.
If they didn't expect it, why did they bring atleast a company of soldiers and a Batallion commander to cut down a tree?
Nice bit of racism here.
Not.
If they didn't expect it, why did they bring atleast a company of soldiers and a Batallion commander to cut down a tree?
LOL
There was only 1 guy over the fence.
Source on this?
No one shelled a village.

A journalist was also killed, and five more Lebanese soldiers wounded in the Israeli shelling on Tuesday. "The Israelis fired four rockets that fell near a Lebanese army position in the village of Adaisseh and the Lebanese army fired back," a Lebanese security official in the area said. Lebanese witnesses said that Israeli shells are continuing to hit Adaisseh village.
Apparently some one did. [editline]01:51AM[/editline]
LOL
Interesting counter point.
Source on this?
http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/Mideast-Conflict-CLARIFIES-LOCATION-TREE-LEBANESE-SIDE-BORDER-LEBANESE-SIDE-FENCE-Israeli/ss/events/wl/080601mideast/im:/100803/481/urn_publicid_ap_org_ba238881891348c4a82287e83ce00582/ As you can see there is only guy over the fence (which is Israeli territory anyways).
Apparently some one did.
My bad. That's where the shots were fired from. Reuters: "An Israeli soldier is seen on a crane on the Lebanese side of the Lebanese-Israeli border near Adaisseh village, southern Lebanon August 3, 2010. Israeli artillery shelled the Lebanese village on Tuesday, wounding two people, after Lebanese Army troops fired warning shots at Israeli soldiers."
Then you back off and get Unifil to fucking confirm it. Then you can uproot as many trees as you fucking want.
A few pages back someone posted a link in which Unifil confirmed that they were in their own border. But honestly, once you're over the fence it's hard to see where the border actually is. This was just a huge cock up from both sides. Although, when you're not sure if the other guys really are on your side of the border, you're better of not firing at them and stir up a shit storm.
Then you back off and get Unifil to fucking confirm it. Then you can uproot as many trees as you fucking want.
Would any military actually do that? Seriously they're the fucking military and their job is to defend their territory. When that territory is under attack, "oh they must be mistaken, let's retreat and resolve this situation" isn't on anyone's mind. Why can't you see that nothing is black and white? Israel does indeed do many bad things but this isn't one of them. You act like if you support Israel on one issue, you support it on every issue.
Interesting counter point.
That's normal, trust me. EDIT: Nice to see Ohajde keeps up-to-date with alt rating.
