• Eugene Kaspersky calls for end to net anonymity

If you didn't have an anti-virus, you wouldn't know you would have viruses. Not having a virus is like not having car insurance it's stupid and reckless.
alright, time to uninstall kaspersky
NOD32's Smart Security package is the best package on the market in my personal opinion, Kapersky being second best... On a topical note; Giving everyone a unique internet passport will not fix everything. Hell, I bet it'd be rather easy for a malicious user to create a fake applet that generates a random internet passport.... Besides, it doesn't solve the issue of people sapping other peoples wireless, aswell as say wi-fi/internet cafes.
no thanks. It would be a security and privacy nightmare.
Hell no, i get self-conscious when i'm fapping to bestiality already, imagine if i couldn't do it ANONYMOUSLY.
Meh, I use Trend Micro.
RUSSIA'S No1? How hypocritical.
The internet was designed not for public use, but for American scientists and the US military. Then it was introduced to the public and it was wrong...to introduce it in the same way.
Kaspersky exists in an alternate timeline? That explains a lot. Someone should tell him that over here, Arpanet was designed for scientists and the military, and ended up being useless. What eventually became the internet only took off thanks to good ole' Berners-Lee making it actually, you know, useful, and something everyone could use freely.
Internet Defence Force, assemble! Dryer-Lint! With the power to nonchalantly wait in people's dryers and then choke them to death!
I hope russian hackers hang christmas decorations from this pussy bitch.
The girl on the right looks like a wax figure. edit: I'd still hit it.
Shut up with your masturbatory drivel!
I hope russian hackers hang this pussy bitch.
Lol, why?
Lol, why?
War Crimes.
I'd like to see some of the people who say that Kaspersky is dumb/retarded/gay/whatever, to actually provide a reason as to why internet id's are such a bad thing.
I'd like to see some of the people who say that Kaspersky is dumb/retarded/gay/whatever, to actually provide a reason as to why internet id's are such a bad thing.
Why would they be a good thing to begin with. Are you too blind to see what we have achieved just by anonymity?
Ahahaha. I remember that crap.
Ha. So do I.
Are you too blind to see what we have achieved just by anonymity?
Enlighten me. And please provide arguments to back up your claims next time.
Kapersky just sits there on your computer saying "What? A Virus? Naa mate, I'm too tired." Comodo is running around like a paranoid mad man going "SHIT SHIT WHO THE FUCK IS SHOOTING AT US? OH! oh, good, it's only the Steam UI Overlay, and uh sorry for fucking up your game startup." AVG just hands you a 50 calibre rifle and says "go get it"
I'd like to see some of the people who say that Kaspersky is dumb/retarded/gay/whatever, to actually provide a reason as to why internet id's are such a bad thing.
In part, it's because of the nature of the beast: on the internet, no matter how clever any particular company may have been, some smart bugger will come up with a way round it, more often than not purely because it's a challenge for them. To draw an analogy, it'd be like the shitty ID card system they wanted to use in England: sounds great on paper, but can be faked or edited ID in approximately 12 minutes, with easily available tools (I believe it was a simcard reading program from Nokia). Any internet ID system would become a complete farce within, at the maximum, a year or so after it's implementation. The other reason would be that the internet is one of the few places where you can have truly free speech. To you, I'm just a collection of pixels and an assumed name: The only thing you can judge me on is what I write down, and, unless you're more computer literate than the average internet user, you can't track me down. In other words, we can say whatever the hell we like, without fear of repercussions to ourselves. As soon as we add in a compulsory ID however, we lose this. We have to think about who's going to read what we say, who's ire we'll attract, and so on: speaking for myself, I would rather have to deal with the worms, viruses and spyware on occasion, than lose my ability to call Jack Thompson a complete fuckwit without him being able to get a name to litigate with. TL;DR: Idealist gets on soapbox, says words.
i use norton my new pc came with 3 years of it, so im stuck until 2012
I'd like to see some of the people who say that Kaspersky is dumb/retarded/gay/whatever, to actually provide a reason as to why internet id's are such a bad thing.
Imagine everyone everywhere you ever go to immediately knowing your real name and address. Not only that, but police could also at any time find out what products you are buying where, what movies you're watching, etc etc, and they'd know every single place you've ever been to. You surely wouldn't want that in real life. Now you gotta ask yourself a question: Do you want the Internet to be like that? Well, do ya, punk? (no offense meant, it's a reference I hope you get)
Kaspersky is a piece of shit anyways (the AV that is)
Who cares, Kaspersky sucks anyway, and i for one like the internet the way it is, no one should be trying to change it, they have no right !
Kaspersky is a piece of shit anyways (the AV that is)
As is the person.

Ok so, let's assume that this gets enforced and every single internet user is required to register to this. Two possible outcomes I can see. 1. People will find ways around it like they always do with every single security measure in the history of security software. 2. People are Idiots and use short dictionary words that are easily brute forced for their passwords 75% of the time. 75% of billions of internet users is a lot of easy passwords, hackers will just hijack other peoples accounts and do illegal stuff there.
