Anyway back to the topic at hand, maybe dialisis could help, dialisis machines effectively act as livers anyway and there might be a way to jury rig a way to heat the blood and boil off the VOC's and leave most of the blood relatively intact and then just let the liver and kidneys flush out the destroyed blood cells.
