Hillary Clinton is the presumptive Democratic nominee
Sanders did a lot better than expected though, I remember after Iowa I made a few posts suggesting he'd only win like two more states and probably be out by March
Are folks going to remember Sanders once the election hits? Once it's like a year into the new presidential administration.
Are we going to remember him in history years after he dies?
Nothing in the article contradicts the fact that superdelegates haven't voted.
But they said they were probably going to go for Hiliary anyway.
To quote the quote from an earlier post.
"While superdelegates will not formally cast their votes for Clinton until the party’s July convention in Philadelphia, all those counted in her tally have unequivocally told the AP they will do so."
The AP surveyed all 714 superdelegates repeatedly in the past seven months, and only 95 remain publicly uncommitted.
While superdelegates will not formally cast their votes for Clinton until the party’s July convention in Philadelphia, all those counted in her tally have unequivocally told the AP they will do so.
“We really need to bring a close to this primary process and get on to defeating Donald Trump,” said Nancy Worley, a superdelegate who chairs Alabama’s Democratic Party and provided one of the last endorsements to put Clinton over the top.
Don't hold your breath about the superdelegates.
OK! Still gonna vote for Bernie tomorrow (a throw away vote at this point), but I'm okay with the idea of Hillary being our next president.

He already has a legacy that he will be remembered for, but for his efforts recently I'd say hes made the public more liberal in the ways of thinking how this country should be ran
Don't hold your breath about the superdelegates.
I'm not, I'm just telling you the facts. They haven't voted.
Get ready for a Trump presidency.
I'm not, I'm just telling you the facts. They haven't voted.
Right but there are many a people who are clinging onto the very small chance that the superdelegates are going to swing for Bernie, when majority of them are pledged for Hillary. I guess it's like the law of infinite probability though.
So how many of you Bernie supporters are going to vote for Trump?
So how many of you Bernie supporters are going to vote for Trump?
I'm writing Bernie in.
If this turns out to be a case of Hills counting her chickens before they've hatched again I will die laughing. Especially because the media is absolutely complicit in it.
Mathematically Sanders can't win, and she comes in above the number even without super delegates by the time of the convention. What has to happen next though is that Hillary needs to stop talking shit about Sanders and assuming his supporters are on her side, they need a progressive platform that doesn't hand wave away the serious concerns that Sander's campaign has brought up about the issues. Also if they do fully intend to run her they have to address her possible indicment from the FBI

Because that chance DOES exist. People just seem to completely ignore the fact that Hillary can potentially get indicted which if it happened in the general would just hand the country over to Trump. A lot of people will say an indictment will never happen (and part of me thinks that as well) but that possibility is there nonetheless.
e:
All I can say is the DNC have no one to blame but themselves if this election goes to shit by them pushing such a wounded and unfavorable candidate. Because you know if things go south the first thing they're going to do is blame the Bernie supporters for not falling in line behind Hillary.
Ain't anything gonna come from the FBI investigation, Presidents violate international law and your rights all the time and have done way worse and gotten away with it.
AP didn't interview superduperdelegate James Comey. He has the final say.
So how many of you Bernie supporters are going to vote for Trump?
I'm not gonna lie, I'm considering. Not because I love bronze and shitty hair. But I don't really give enough of a shit for this election anymore. I don't like both, I don't expect much from both. Might as well.

"We've got primaries to rig."
Fixed.
Superdelegates and their candidate can get fucked.
I'm writing Bernie in.
no one's gonna stop dead in their tracks and say "wow llamaguy wrote in bernie, what a powerful statement"
you're just throwing away your vote lol
Superdelegates and their candidate can get fucked.
She's winning without superdelegates. Superdelegates just confirm the candidate. If there were no super delegates she'd still be winning
no one's gonna stop dead in their tracks and say "wow llamaguy wrote in bernie, what a powerful statement"

I'm not going to vote for a failed lawyer that is only famous because she fucked Bill. I'm also not going to vote for someone who is the epitome of corporate influence.
I'm voting for someone who aligns with MY interest. That is not throwing my vote away, and you even saying that shows how absolutely fucked that mindset is.
Even further, just because politicians who do not have my interests in mind endorse a shit person like Clinton does not in any way entice me to vote for her.
Superdelegates were shit when Clinton used them to create the impression that she had a massive pledged delegate lead, and they're shit now that Sanders is using them to justify continuing his campaign beyond the end of the primaries.
Bernie should get in line now like the rest of the lowborn plebians. It is time for the Queen to take her throne.
eh, third party is still getting my vote. If you guys want bernie's policies like llamaguy does go vote for Jill Stein.

Several states have actually passed motions to abolish superdelegates and they must vote with how their constituents voted beginning in 2020.
She's winning without superdelegates. Superdelegates just confirm the candidate. If there were no super delegates she'd still be winning
Right, but it wouldn't constantly be portrayed as being down 900 delegates in mass media. It discourages people.
She's winning without superdelegates. Superdelegates just confirm the candidate. If there were no super delegates she'd still be winning
Okay, but that's not what I said.
I'll bite though, and argue that her lead would be much smaller had the supers not been counted since day one.

No one is ever going to notice if this destructive mindset continues to exist for the majority of Americans. The fear driven mindset of "prevent the other side from winning at all costs, they are worse than our candidate", fueled by the establishment on both sides because it benefits them to maintain the status quo, and the best way to do that is divide and conquer.

feel whatever you please about 'damage control' voting, but if it comes to that then it's your only way to participate in the democratic process at that point. I fully intend to vote for the lesser of two evils because that's an actual useful thing to do.
Obama will reportedly enter the race properly on Wednesday and endorse Clinton, and has had a phone call with Sanders ahead of this

Voting for the lesser of two evils and making your voice heard are mutually exclusive.
"Oh boy, I'd rather swallow putrid diarrhea than a solid turd! At least it'll go down easier!"
That's the main problem here. That shouldn't be our only way to participate in politics. And it isn't. That's exactly what I'm doing by writing in Sanders.

Not necessary unless you're in a swing state. If you're in a deep red or deep blue state then you are free to stay home, write in Bernie or vote third-party.

A or B is going to happen this time around. I want the less bad thing to happen.
