Well looks like I was just in time starting my own vaporwave career to see things reach turbo-pretentious. https://phontomen.bandcamp.com/album/p-mct
I hope the food court has a McDonald's so you can Enjoy yourself while making angsty shitposts about how capitalism is destroying culture
You have encouraged me now to go to New York Fries today.
I so want to go to this but tickets are stupid expensive.
Ironic Mallposting is still Mallposting.
They are real fake trees. Every 80's mall had a selection of the finest plastic trees $30 could buy. [t]http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LqXmU8jYRoI/T5mlXx51V2I/AAAAAAAACF8/nJuV0PMxFBM/s1600/cardcow_wallpaper.jpg[/t]
OOOOH that's so oldschool. It's probably just me, but I get this "warm/cozy" feeling from all of that wooden panelling.
Fake plastic trees? Are there real plastic trees that I don't know about or am I missing something?
these trees are planted alongside fake chinese rubber plants. you water them with a green plastic watering can
this is probably a good time to plug a facebook group a friend of mine runs (and I participate in), "Dead Mall Enthusiasts". It's not exactly vaporwave but there's lots of retro nostalgia and weird goddamn photo galleries of abandoned malls and such. also some recordings of tapes used for KMart's music/announcements between 1988-1992. This is probably the sickly nostalgia vaporwave enthusiasts yearn for

I smirked whenever the one tv ad came on. "Does your tv only come in black and white?" I don't know how long ago that was made.
heh. i noticed they post a lot of pictures of frederick towne mall in frederick md i grew up there and only ever went to ftm a couple times before it closed up for good, even as a kid i could tell it felt strangely empty. now it's famous for being dead. they were gonna tear it down and build a walmart but they recently changed their mind for some reason
there's an odd trend of dead malls being bought out by larger property owners looking to revive it down the line. If you find stuff on Charlsetowne Mall in IL, the place has gone through that transition like two or three times in the past number of years, each with a big plan to start construction and adding stores/wings/fixing shit up, but it just ghosts after a short while. There's still "coming soon!" construction walls in long dark hallways, it's cool [editline]e[/editline] https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.10150595701248410&__mref=message_bubble

Just in time for the death of the genre!
I like vaporwave as a music genre I really like it I see nothing wrong with it. What the fuck is wrong with you srsly? It's a genre like Country is a music genre.
Didn't vaporware started as a joke and then someone said "i like this, i really do"

I hope the mall can stay open after the festival. Theme malls are fun.
