It's also way more broken and lacks the variety and logic behind simcity. You can exploit to heaven some bugs in it's resource mechanics. There is no difference between education, health, police, leisure or fire coverage, you're just putting them there for the general population rating rather than actually to stop crime or fires. Improving education does nothing to increasing higher classes because it just gives you new densities and wealth levels at arbitrary levels of population, not because your city actually needs or invites them. You can completely ignore covering your industrial with fire stations as long as the residents are covered. It's the same guys that brought you city life, a game that makes you plop most of your building and teaches you about class segregation on a city level.
If you want to play it as a sandbox builder erm... glhf.
EA doesn't understand.
EA will never understand.
They can get the best possible graphics for a game.
The best possible gameplay.
They will still muck it up.
Why has nobody protested against this. There's no actual action taken against this company, all we do is complain and moan. Why don't we do something for once.
Lets not buy this game. Who's with me?

Because you're making it seems like a bigger problem than it is? Maybe people don't give a fuck and can still enjoy the game. You have to login once, not be online all the time.
So please tell me what the problem is.
I am talking about EA in general. What do they need all that money for anyway?
Wallpaper?

So now I have 2 pre-ordered EA titles. Shame on me!
So you basically boycott EA when it's convenient for you?
Except, this is really the only exception because literally no game has the same place in my heart than Sim City. I buy for Maxis, not EA.
I was not hyped for Spore, I knew nothing about Spore and walked into it as such. I enjoyed every moment of it because there was no hype for me, no disappointment.
I hate EA just as much as the other person, but I buy for the devs that make good games. If Sim City 5 turns out to be good, then I buy it for Maxis, not EA.
PS: Oh btw, The Golden, your sense of 'right' is pretty flawed. I may not be a boycotter, but I do pay for a good game.
EA- How could a horrible company like this FUCKING stand afloat?!
by publishing good games and then running them into the ground with multiple sequels, dlc, drm, and general idiocy.
Not going to happen. Modern gamers just cannot resist new shiny games, regardless of how terrible they are.
:v:
Did you actually follow this game? Not only is this one article been contracdicted several times.
But the team making Sim City 5 made 2000 and 4.
You know, the two best in the entire fucking series.
I don't care about the online requirement, but not being able to unleash a bunch of disasters and then reloading a save kind of sucks.
This is 2012, get over it babies.

Weren't that for online though? You can only have 1 persistence world in MP but several in SP.

Reconnect Internet

Yeah, that's probably how the new cheat will work. The connection is asynchronus afterall.
So the game isn't complete without foreign architectural DLCs? LOL!
To the pathetic drama queens. Get a good paying job so you can afford the game and a wireless connection!
I wanted to buy this.
Why did they do this.
Remember the times when game developers had souls and would actually put all their effort into a single released copy? I can see GOTY editions that contain all of the DLCs (Oblivion) but NOW ITS FUCKING RIDICULOUS! DLCs EVERYWHERE. Thrown in your face. YOU WANT THIS DLC! IT HAS NEW STUFF! YOU WANT IT. And some people will buy it.
Now, I don't think this will have DLC but the fact that they deluxe edition has SO much more really pisses me off.
Welcome to the future of micro-transactions, you better get used to it.
More like macro-transactions.
From what I can see, new games are taking two different paths, some go free to play with actual micro transactions set up with customization. Then there's the more big publisher route who seem to plonk stuff down with 60$ retail + 15$ dlc after a few months... or at launch yay. The only reason this is happening is because people are still gobbling it down, If you let them exploit you, then that's what they're gonna keep doing.

I look forward to it really much.
It's like EA has a "bad ideas" department.
