Haha there has never been a bigger bunch of overweight, balding, fat middle-aged white guys needing to get laid before.

Sums up most of my opinions on Bush's little space ideas.
That comic isn't parodying how ineffective Bush's space plans were, it's trying to say how stupid and pointless the space program is.
Which I disagree with, space exploration is useful.
Yeah, if we completely destroy the world we live in, we can just move to the next best planet we find
Get over it America. WWII wasn't won by you.
Get over it America. WWII wasn't won by you.
this is pretty irrelevant
Besides we all know Canadians won WWII
And Africa won WWXII.
Well, this is the same guy that recommended we'd re-institute a literacy test, and with the kind of crowd he was talking too I suppose he was harking back to the "good ol' days".
Tancredo is a moron anyways.

I don't consider the space program stupid or pointless. What I do consider idiotic is promising flights to Mars without bothering to even slightly fund them as a brief distraction from the unending clusterfuck the War on Terror is. Constellation wound up canceled because Bush set all these plans and goals without taking steps to ensure their budget would even keep pace with inflation.
Gotta love the freedom of speech in the US. Any other country would probably execute the people that are racist towards the President
Like what?
Uh no, that isn't what they're going on about.
His nationality and U.S Born status has been in question for the longest time. I was reading somewhere and talking to a higher up military friend of mine that some court ordered him to provide his birth certificate and proof he is a U.S born citizen, but he keeps finding loop holes or something like that to keep pushing it back. I dunno the whole story and don't really give a fuck.
I don't really like the Tea Party, but i give them credit for using all their rights. Not many people use their rights let alone keep going at it like they do.
he provided the birth certificate.
It is amazing how the media can destroy a group's reputation so badly by simply quoting a single member of the Tea Party. Sure, I strongly dislike Obama, but that doesn't mean I want the man deported and removed of his title of office. I'm sure many tea-partiers would also share my opinion.
i doubt that
It truly amazes me at how ignorant some of you can be.
You call generalize the Tea Party, but you accuse them of being racist, which is basically generalizing a race. You call all of them ignorant, while probably not having met a single member. My grandparents are members of the Tea Party and they're some of the most intelligent, hardworking people I know that just want the U.S. to be better for their children and grandchildren. Yes, I do admit there are some rather off balance people in the Tea Party, but it's the exact same way in any other political movement.
So please, before you create a stereotype of them, meet a few in person, don't just read news reports.
tea party is a race?

Aggh, that's infront of the American Airlines Center too :S
There's a house near me, got a big sign that says "FIGHT SOCIALISM" with an American flag hanging over it.
Is there any actual proof of this statement or do I have to take the article's word for it?
Sned Obama back to Kanye
why the rasicm bro please
Who would take such a movement seriously?
Come on, TEA Party? What the fuck is this shit
You must not know American history very well. The name actually has significance.
Get out dumb fuck.
Hey I was being sarcastic, seriously. :frown:
Fight for not making friends. Yeah, fighting for not talking to people, wow, how lame.
:Dawkins102: I was being sarcastic.

This is a press conference at the White House, one of the journalists does mention the issue at 3:10 and Gibbs seems to acknowledge it. I'm trying to find a video of the event though.
There is a video of another speaker at this rally, a Dan Gonzales. He had some nutty comments.

Eh. Still pretty skeptical. I mean I wouldn't be totally surprised, but I never believe anything I hear on the news or read in articles when I first see it. I usually wait for solid proof or for it to be confirmed by a bunch of different sources. So I'm going to go ahead and say this probably didn't happen, unless someone wants to show me a video of him saying it.
I've noticed that with a lot of protests in general, if an article says "this person said this" or "this sign said this" then people will just believe it. Especially if the person is reading about their ideological opposite.
It's not hard to imagine a socialist reading an article about how a bunch of right-wingers held up racist signs, and believing it without proof. Works the same way the other way around too. I'm willing to bet most of the bad stuff said about the tea party is either not true or just exaggerated, for example,if one guy had a sign that said "obama is a nigger" and the media reported it as an "angry violent group of protesters with signs inciting racial violence"
why the rasicm bro please
That's not racist.
Haha there has never been a bigger bunch of overweight, balding, fat middle-aged white guys needing to get laid before.
That however, is racist.
Well, very borderline.
So they... photo shopped it?

If it is brought up at a press conference it probably has some credence.
Sounds like to me you're in denial that Tom Tancredo can say stupid things.

It can't be true if it doesn't make sense to me :downs:

So it's just socialists who think that?
Sorry if you think that the breed of tea baggers that Tancredo appeals to are innocent patriots, that is simply not the case. The rant by Dan Gonzales at least proves as much.
Did somebody say "Barack Obama's birth certificate?"

Mine looks better.

The funny thing about that fake one is that they have "Mombasa", even though the elder Obama lived around where the Nyanza province is- in the southwest of the country near Lake Victoria.
Additionally "Mombasa" was a part of Zanzibar until the end of 1963.

The KKK are actually Democrats. Conservative Democrats, as in, they supported Obama during the race, yet they are racists.
I think its because his grandma was a white supremacist or something.

Didn't read the article.
As for Obama, Tancredo said, "If his wife says Kenya is his homeland, why don't we just send him back?"
Conservative Democrats sounds rather oxymoronic.
Conservative doesn't pertain to one group of people, Conservatives we know and hate are Conservative Republicans. They are Republicans who want to go back to the 60s and hunt communists.
Conservative values mean you want to have things like the past, or stay the same.
Here Wikipedia can explain it better

But still, the President was elected as a leader of a nation, and the Tea Party is a bunch of random douchebags
