Microsoft not ripping of U.K consumers; upgrade edition of Windows 8 will cost just £24.99 in the U

I like the new start menu because Microsoft finally made it so you can organize it better, in the CP I neatly organized all my shit and it was wonderful.
I actually tried out Windows 8 (in a virtual machine) because I was interested if it might be better if i use it myself. But the whole thing seems so counter-intuitive. The fact that you have to go through every corner of the screen to do different things, that there is no "All Apps" button that's easy discoverable, that the shutdown options are hidden under Settings, that half of the apps are Metro but the other half just works in desktop mode.
It might take a while to get used to I guess, and for that price it's worth considering, but I think Microsoft could've done a better job.
