Perhaps you should've bolded this too OP, so people who only glance at the few lines of text actually get the whole picture before they blast their opinion. I don't see why he's wrong, he plainly admits he doesn't focus on that at all, just on his specific area of work. Mind you there is nothing wrong in male actors like Bradley Cooper making sure his female co-leads will be payed as much as him and [I]then[/I] confirming the contract. Female actors are generally payed less than their male counterparts, and the difference is quite massive. And all artists shape their industry by working together. But I simply do not see the controversy in Renner's statement.

It's not his job though lol, if you're not willing to get in there and ask for a raise you really don't deserve one
