Are you suggesting that politicians are saints with no moral shortcomings simply because they ally themselves with a different ideology?
I'm suggesting that you're thinking within your preconceived notions and not a non-biased standpoint, thus making your accusation baseless.
I never said they never did that, just they know something that public and obvious is stupid and petty. Why don't you get over you fucking self and realize that people have different opinions, and aren't always wrong just because they clash with your preconcieved notions?
Are you arguing that republicans never blame democrats for filibusters? "I refuse to believe corporations are people until Texas executes one." Good for them. The Citizens United decision was a step in the wrong direction.
I want to see a corporation's birth certificate.

Nobody is suggesting that [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] You read into something that wasn't there
Persecution complex is a bitch.
Yeah, because democrats are angels and don't ever abuse the system :downs:
No one said that, yet alone mentioned democrats or any other party.
bohb has a point, no one politic is a saint, they are after all a politian for their own causes most of the time. But its kind of completely unrelated to the thread and Democrats aren't the ones screwing with the common man.
Oh man. Even if it doesn't go through, a proposed constitutional amendment is big shit.
No, they're not. They're clearly GROUPS of people, not people themselves, and groups of people do not function at all like people.
Um. You're wrong. By definition, they're people because of the supreme courts ruling.
Are you suggesting that politicians are saints with no moral shortcomings simply because they ally themselves with a different ideology? [editline]3rd November 2011[/editline] I guess it's a good thing for me that I'm not a Republican, then, so I don't fall into your sweeping generalization.
You fall into it even if you aren't a republican just because you act this way.
Um. You're wrong. By definition, they're people because of the supreme courts ruling.
They also said racial segregation was okay. I, for one, think this is the biggest step in the right direction. Corporations don't lobby for the common good, but for their own bottom line. They work for money, not to survive. This ruling has to go.
Um. You're wrong. By definition, they're people because of the supreme courts ruling.
Well clearly if that's getting looked at or revised, not so much right? And I don't live in the US, so no, to me and my country, corporations are not people.
Um. You're wrong. By definition, they're people because of the supreme courts ruling.
the supreme court is not the end all be all of definitions
As awesome as this is, a constitutional amendment is one of the hardest things to actually accomplish for a congress, so I'm gonna hold back my celebrating until it actually passes. Good luck to them, though.
Um. You're wrong. By definition, they're people because of the supreme courts ruling.
So if the Supreme Court ruled that black is white you'd believe it?

Good luck to them, though.
There are enough people about to win BIG money from corporations next year that they won't vote to take it away. Citizen's United heavily benefits Republicans over Democrats, and they won't give up the ability to drown their opponents in corporate money.
Yeah, because democrats are angels and don't ever abuse the system :downs:
No matter what your daddy has taught you, republicans are seriously damaging, if nothing else, then my mental balance by making me see their actions.
