Will they keep the 10 person sharing thing?
No. Sharing your games is done exactly as it has been since the dawn of time. You hand your friend the game disc, he plays it. He gets done, he hands the disc back, you play it again.
And what does this mean for the countries now?
If you can get it activated you can use it anywhere. It needs a one-time connection on initial setup but that's it.
Why is everyone being so dicky about this? It should be 'Oh they actually listened and made the shit right, pretty good I guess' Instead its 'microshit backpedal lol lel shit company xbone still shit' Honestly I don't see anything wrong with it but the price now, or at least worth bitching about to this extent, and I was all for saying fuck the xbox one when its shitty features were announced.
It still isn't fixed. Yes, they made a good move by nipping 90% of the shitty aspects, but we still have the mandatory kinect and excessively high price. If I buy a console this gen it isn't gonna be the XBOne because of those reasons. I'd take one if it were discounted $100 and the kinect was thrown out the window, though.
personally i think it's potentially an important addition. if they didn't force it to come with the console there would be a lot of games that would avoid creative implementation of it simply because only a small percentage of the userbase would have it
Which is fine. The small percentage of the userbase that would have it is the percentage that actually wants it, the rest don't give a shit, and that means it shouldn't be a mandatory part of the system. Microsoft is quite literally forcing the Kinect on everyone that buys an XBOne.
A lot of xbox players are more casual gamers then hardcore in the since that they don't follow gaming news.
Following gaming news or not does not determine if a gamer is 'hardcore' or not.
So is it okay to like the Xbone now?
Well it definitely isn't out to screw gamers as a whole over so I suppose so. I still don't want one myself though. Too expensive, gimmicky kinect is mandatory, and none of the exclusives caught my fancy.
this is a far easier pill to swallow than the DRM nonsense.
And still a deal breaker for me.
599 US dollars, no games at launch, bulkiest thing to ever exist (at launch).
Am I the only person that likes it when their electronics and appliances are overbuilt?
If you can turn everything about the kinect off then whats the problem. And almost every game introduced uses the voice commands in some way and a lot of the reviewers said it actually made the games better.
What's so bad about the tried-and-true "Push button on controller --> things happen" control method anyway?
they fix something that you guys were mad about and you still jump on the hate bandwagon give them a break ffs
No. There's still a LOT of reasons not to buy an XBOne. Just because it's not out to fuck gamers over anymore doesn't mean it's 'fixed' and worth buying. There's still a lot of issues to sort out with the thing before it's on equal footing with the PS4 and Wii-U.
