Too bad that added nothing to the discussion.
I'm about as left as they come, and I'm still a bit skeptical. I'd like more tests with a more diverse sample.
Maybe because he has better things to do than try and shape his posts to impress an internet forum. Who really gives a fuck.
Glaber obviously gives a fuck since he took the time to post.

Nothing you want to acknowledge.
Some of the liberal users on FP have a glaringly obvious superiority complex. They're arrogant, rude, and disrespectful when arguing with conservative users. I'll see threads that have nothing to do with politics or anything of the sort with people bashing conservative users, with no provocation or prompting. There's no reason to do so. They're like children, looking for any and every excuse to flaunt their opinions and deem others' inferior or stupid. My favorite part to this, is that most of the users I'm describing preach tolerance and acceptance of others' beliefs. Interesting.
Did that add enough to the discussion for you?

By using yourself as an example, yes. Yes it did.

Also, persecution complex.
Test Subjects: 2 Parliament members and 90 students.
This is not conclusive at all. More studies are needed, larger sample sizes are needed (And not just from one location or one school or one government type). Studies into this will probably continue as time goes on, but it's just far too early to make such a bold claim with such little evidence. Correlation does not imply causation everyone. Furthermore, instead of giving us a spoon-fed view of the article, how about we actually wait for the research to be published before we argue the actual legitimacy with such sureness?
Either way, the results (Which will be posted NEXT YEAR) should prove to be interesting.
well I will say that 92 people is small but If they did the test with 92 people in different places it would be better. It could be that that since the people are in the same area they would be genetically similar and since parents are genetically similar to the children and teach them there same belief it would explain why there brains are the same. even though its not impossible that being scared for many years would some how have an effect on your brain.

People usually think more of of things like "don't torch mosques" when they speak of tolerance and acceptance. Politics is a completely different sort of ball game.
Oh look. Another study that means nothing.
You guys realize optimistic people are actually the ones who die faster in desperate survival situations, right? I'd rather be part of the anxious but surviving party, thanks.
Because it's totally likely that anyone in this thread will ever be in a zombie apocalypse or a nuclear meltdown. Stress kills people off a lot more than 'desperate survival situations'. Besides I don't understand how you could ever prove that statement.
God, nothing is truer than what he says at the end. Everyone thinks they're right. I've always thought that, and because of that I don't bother with arguing politics or religion. It's pointless in the end and only serves to separate you from people who have different opinions from yours.
Looks to me like you're projecting your own flaw onto others.
So basically liberals are the right-wing off-shoots of our monkey-men ancestors who petitioned for sabre-tooth equality?
Durr hurr political views uffectz yur breyn seiz so libralz is smurtar than stoopid republikunz. :downs:
What an eloquent argument, you have clearly slain your political adversaries my friend, but If I may interject just for a moment.
You clearly seem butthurt that political ideologies adopted by people may in some way be effected by the structure of their grey matter, which is frankly moronic. Of course the structure of the brain will effect political stances, what you're saying is like saying that someone with a smaller frontal lobe will still be capable of advanced thought, now stop acting like a spoilt child and accept that the brains structure and minute differences between people strongly effects the person you are or will become.
But I dont think it would make that big a difference or else you would see a republican son being raised by adopted democrats and still be republican.
also being worried doesnt automatically mean you will hate gays. you can be anxious that global warming is destroying the planet or that women dont have the same rights as men.

I'm not the one who can't take a joke.

you also can't post something not misinformed at every chance you get so I wouldn't say anything.
