Bethesda sure has talent but their engine was always tier shit and I think they compromised on a lot of stuff.
if they just made a new proper engine and optimized stuff better they would do so much more most of what they do seems to be done in 1 attempt. You make the enemy and then done. You don't adjust anything. The moment you are finished with a dungeon, you're done.
Also RIP Adam Adamowicz, his designs are what made Bethesda's games so unique, I don't know who they will hire to replace him because, I think he's irreplaceable.
I don't want a Fallout 4 unless Obsidian are making/writing it
I really hope for Fallout 4 that they don't just ignore everything that's been going on in the Wasteland in general, like with Fallout 3. Because by now a significant percentage of the wasteland must at least have moderately large settlements, tribes and the like, some might even be at the very least small versions of the NCR. It'll be nice to see stuff like that honestly.
People seriously aren't getting the joke?
I like to believe people notice an obvious joke when they see one but they just pretend its 100% serious so they can make fun of the person and feel better about themselves
If it's set in Boston, how sweet would it be to have a DLC that takes you back to the Capital Wasteland?
If it's set in Boston, how sweet would it be to have a DLC that takes you back to the Capital Wasteland?
It would be neat to see just how much civilization would have grown back there, given the now clean water and the nicer Capital Wasteland BOS helping out. Plus I'd love to see or hear about if the NCR made movements into the Capital wasteland.
Fallout 3: Remastered 320p textures upgraded to 480p
Fallout 3: Remastered 320p textures upgraded to 480p
Just mod it.
Elder Scrolls Online 2
I expect: Fallout Online Doom 4 made F2P Rage 2 as new post-apocalyptic racer
if it is fo4, I really hope they do more of that "there is a world outside your current area" thing that fallout NV had going for it, it really gave you an idea of what the world outside of the Mojave looked like, even brief descriptions of territories east or west of the map where one of the warring factions ruled gave you a feeling you were part of a wider world. i didn't play fallout 1&2 until after i played both of the newer games- and i had literally no idea the whole fallout universe wasnt just the same bleak blackened shit-hole all over until l played New vegas.
Fallout 3: Remastered 320p textures upgraded to 480p
Not on PC. DLC only available in FALLOUT 3: REMASTERED: GAME OF THE DECADE EDITION: TODD HOWARD SIGNATURE SERIES: LIMITED EDITION. Includes new DLC that features Moria Brown nuking the Mojave, thus retconning New Vegas. Pre-order only at Gamestop: Power to the players. And it still freezes when you try and look down.
I just hope we're good enough to see the Doom 4 trailer that Bethesda refuse to show us.
Introducing Fallout IV! .... For iOS and Android .... Where you build your own vault! .... And feel the excitement of waiting 60 minutes for finishing 1 corridor unless you pay 9,99$ for our BethesdaCoins pack.

Fallout 4, designed by bethesda but with obsidian as consulting writers would be the best, in my opinion. New Vegas had great writing, sure, but the mojave wasteland had absolutely terrible world design compared to the capital wasteland. Invisible walls everywhere, over half the map being inaccessible. 3 felt like adventure could be waiting over every hill, in every ruins, mojave just felt empty and lifeless. All in my opinion, of course.
mojave just felt empty and lifeless.
Wouldn't that be a good thing in a nuclear wasteland? :v:

I completely disagree with the rest but that's subjective. The one that was a complete pain in the ass, where you'd need to go through a bunch of complicated tunnels just to get over one supposedly too big junk pile?
I want nothing more than Dishonored 2 or alternatively a completely new IP by Arkane. I'm just looking through Arkane's wiki page and literally every game they have ever made got cancelled or was extremely good. (3 cancelled, 3 great games) Also, I supposed DOOM footage or a new Fallout or TES game would be kinda neat too. The DLC is great.
I think I spend about 70 hours in the dlc, a total of 174 hours
If they're working on Elder Scrolls/Fallout, please please PLEASE drop creation/gamebryo, it's physically painful to look at that engine.
e3 is just going to be another depressing event where I just want to quit videogames forever throughout watching it. Last years E3 wasn't even funny in a cringe way, it was just transparently vain and commercial. It didn't even really have that many good game announcements.

All in my opinion, of course.
lifeless is perhaps the wrong term, i always found environments in NV to be too "static". the empty stillness they had was more fake than unsettling. the environments in fallout 3 looked a lot better imo, each area had a consistent style throughout and everything was nicely detailed and polished (but often irritating to navigate or outright nonsensical, where is the farmland that supports this city etc etc) - whereas in NV environments were more likely to be sparsely cluttered, with very little detail and one important object or npc jutting out of the centre ( but with obvious thought and care put in to making the setting accessible and believable- each settlement has a way of supporting itself, and is situated beside farmland or a water supply of some kind.) Don't get me wrong fallout NV is certainly the better game, but it just doesn't look as good as fallout 3.

Sony's conference indirectly ended up bringing Vib-Ribbon to the US and it's where they announced Grim Fandango HD. Nintendo's event was pretty good with the Smash tournament, and the Treehouse event was alright except for the several hours of Splatoon.
I'm game for any of the three, though I'm most interested in Dishonoured 2. That said I am hoping that Doom 4 is as awesome as reported, and Fallout 4 needs to polish and refine its gunplay mechanics before it comes out of the Commonwealth.
fallout 4 needs to polish its game engine period. so many things could be added to fallout if the engine wasn't garbage

That's all it was. The industry should know when their franchises are getting stale and when they should start hiring actually creative people to create new IPs with new ideas. Is this next-gen just going to be a continuation of sequels to IPs that came out last generation?
