I would be happy with a pirate game with that ship system.
Please make this happen, open world pirate game with more then one ship, multiplayer (freelancer style), and sword combat similar to how jedi knight:JA does lightsaber combat or how mount and blade does combat minus the bugs.

This is a really piss poor way to try to avoid the truth and the oncoming storm that these guys have had coming at them for a while.

Yeah, both reserve 2 cores for the OS.
I'd be happy though if this leads to games regularly making good use of 4 cores, let alone 6 or 8...

Actually, you can. Very easily.
Ubisoft does and says stuff that's so dumb it's hilarious. EA actively poisons the industry with its very existence by constantly finding brand new ways to be scummy.

I started playing ass creed the other day for the first time and I don't see why this series is successful at all. Their no challenge to the parkour stuff it's just holding forward and occasionally pressing the jump button. It's like playing sonic the hedgehog with italians.

easier for them. Just consider the fact that they have a decade worth of content already at 30fps. Animation libraries, FX content and a lot of other stuff which often gets reused in games.

But most of these games are ported to PC and run at a perfectly fine 60FPS anyway.

Most multiplatform games don't actually use 30 fps animations anymore

The problem isn't just speed, it's the fact that Ubisoft wouldn't know how to create a game that utilizes more than one CPU core if Jesus himself taught them how to do it.
