Dan, it seems, was boobies.
A guy makes an offer to a homeless man on the street. 100 dollars, or a laptop, 3 javascript textbooks, and an hour a day teaching him how to code. The man takes the second offer, and works day and night to get better at coding. He even made an app about saving gas or some shit.
Your welcome.
Edit: woops, didn't see that one post above. Looks like someone needs to summarize this thread for me.

How did you read his post, then?
Needless 'summary' bickering aside, I'm happy to see this guy rebuild a future for himself. I respect organizations that help homeless get back on their feet, but when you give them even more real-world job skills like this, then it *really* helps.

Homeless computer gives a man $100 to lift a boat chain when the cops show up and arrest the bench and now that the hobo can't lift he googled an app and there's some random lady too
Well you see, the story's about a homeless guy, Leo, who saw an upbeat working guy, Patrick, walking past every day. Patrick also saw Leo lifting old boat chains as a workout. This showed Patrick that this hobo would not give up. And so, he bestowed a laptop upon Leo and offered to teach him everything he knew, to the criticism of many large magazines.
That working guy, dressed in all-black, was one of the greatest spies in the NSA. And so, Leo was drafted into becoming one of the greatest government-contracted hackers ever known.
Until Leo did exactly what Patrick thought he would do: he revealed the secrets of the NSA that Snowden hadn't. The rest is about how he's seeking asylum in central Latvia.
these fake summaries aren't funny
You know it's kind of hard to join a discussion if you don't know what the hell the discussion is about. Don't bother posting unless you watch the video.
It might as well be considered shit posting if you don't read an article/watch a video in SH and still post in the thread. This stuff causes so many pointless and retarded arguments all over the forums as it is, simply because people are too fucking lazy to read a short article/video.
I may be alone in this, but a couple lines of text loads a lot faster than a video on a home 10 kbps connection, but thanks for assuming everyone does it out of laziness :)
i'm listening to music right now and i would like to read the story instead of stopping my music. it might sound really lazy or really stupid but i wish upworthy just fucking summarized their videos instead of this undescriptive shit.
And the subtitles are absolute shit for that video.
Fine. . .if you assholes aren't going to give a real summary, I guess I'll do it.
A man approached a homeless guy with a broken Commodore 64. The homeless man then broke the screen, shit inside the monitor, and used it to brew jenkum. After inhaling the fumes, the man ripped off his clothing, smeared his body with feces, and began raping every animal in his path, until police tackled him. He later hung himself in prison, an apparent failed autoerotic asphyxiation. The man who gave him the computer chuckled, and said "Yup, that's pretty much exactly what I expected."
There. Now you have an accurate summary.
nigga what the fuck is u smoking
so the police stole his laptop? They NEVER give it back? I don't get why he wouldn't get his laptop back.
You know, at least for those who simply don't feel like watching the damn thing...
In the time its taken half of you to bitch about summaries, you could have watched it at least 12 times.

I'm not going to wait for two days just so I can indulge a bunch of assholes on the internet who not only don't feel like summarizing a video, but also berating people like us for not watching it on the high speed internet connection we don't have.
Satellite internet's no fun, I'm actually kinda missing Verizon right now. Too bad I couldn't pay for it, and every time you go over it's ten bucks per gig. :l
