Well, it's war. Do you really expect to come back alive? Sure you can come back alive, but at the same time you can die.
I feel more sorry for innocent children that americans killed.

Was a British soldier.
RIP to a man who gave his life for his country.

They feed you with news like these to keep you from questioning the war.
They feed you with news like these to keep you from questioning the war.
Yeah maybe, except it's stories like these that actually make you question the war isn't it.
"Damn this war", LCBADs mutters to himself as a single tear rolls down his cheek.
He turns his back and walks into the distance, the camera panning back to reveal a smoking, corpse-strewn battlefield. The shot fades to black as a final monologue brings the sequence to a sombre close - "God damn this war."
That will teach him not to be a brony.
What does Michael Jackson do when he sees the UK Death toll?
Durr he turns 360 degrees and moonwalks away durr
You know what I think we should do? I think we should leave Afghanistan the fuck alone so the Taliban can go right ahead and oppress their population again. You know why? Because we have only gotten shit from trying to help over there. Seriously people only bitch about it and say that we should leave, so why don't we?
I know this is sad and all...but was it really worth posting this in the news thread? I mean many other soldiers from the Coalition Forces died there, and you don't see a news thread being posted about each of them, since if you would the News section would be filled with threads about dead soldiers. Why is this guy so special to be posted about?

I know he was british.
War is bad and people die.
Moving on...

What the fuck is wrong with you, you fucking disgusting shithead?
You guys have no respect for soldiers? Stop staring at a screen and go see what shit is going down over there. They're trying to help, yet sub-humans think that their landed is being forsaken. No, they're helping your children get education, water, food.
Yet they just plant IEDs, use kids for suicide bombings and a whole shit load of other things.
You sit behind a screen, yet I would highly doubt you'd ever say what you think on here.
No I make the decision not to waste my life in a professional army for a piss-poor wages whilst fighting for wars that are entirely unrelated to my country.
[editline]21st March 2011[/editline]
In hindsight, it was a smart decision.
Yea, this isn't news worthy. It's just sad
Wow. Thats really sad...
Sad thing is, while any casualties on the "good side" are apparently always sad, nobody cares if the "bad guys" are newborn dads.
We instantly condemn them no matter what, because these new fathers kill innocent people. Sure our coalition forces do the same thing, but never on purpose, and it's hard for them to sleep at night. But these "fathers" can go into banks or market places, and detonate explosives and kill women and children without a single thought. So why does it matter that we don't care if they're new fathers, when they take children out of this world as quickly as they put them into it?

Are you trolling? Or are you just criminally stupid?

I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with someone who has a Halo: Reach avatar. Just my point of view, if you don't like it, you don't have to.

Anyone who says sub-human with a straight face is a psychopath.
Good job retard.

I'm not going to argue with your stupid :ohdear: avatar either.

it's a bit more complex than that
Yeah maybe, except it's stories like these that actually make you question the war isn't it.
During Vietnam, news organizations would interview soldiers and they'd say stuff like "I wish I back home eating apple pie with my family :911:". Then a moment later in the story, they'd show the guy running through a minefield and getting blown to bits.
That's why the public turned on the war.
The guy being a dad doesn't change anything. It's still a tragedy, but I hate mushy journalism
Oh look, someone died again.
Wonder why it keeps happening.
At the very least, he died for a good cause.
Realist view: The child probably isn't his anyway.
Realist view: The child probably isn't his anyway.
Contag there talking about a deceased father of a newborn child who was killed thousands of miles away from his home.
The report isn't asking you to support the war, just to spare 2 seconds to think about people whos lives have been taken or destroyed.
the war in afghanistan is a fucking mess, you either survive it or you dont
ultimately, a soldier's death there won't mean shit

The only sub-humans on the planet are you and others like you. I sincerely hope you meet a horrible end, or learn a very hard lesson. Because you obviously know less than nothing about how the real world works.
I'm not going to get into a pissing contest with someone who has a Halo: Reach avatar. Just my point of view, if you don't like it, you don't have to.
It isn't a pissing contest, and my avatar has nothing to do with it (nice try at deflecting attention, though).
I was asking for confirmation that you really believed the shit that you typed. Evidently, you do.
You're right in a way, though. I wrote a lengthy post deconstructing what you said, but it isn't worth it. Clearly you are pretty fucking stupid, and live in utter ignorance. Anything I say won't change that, because you like living that way.
Have fun with that, bro.

Except that in America, this will be given constant coverage (and in Australia, too). But I've never seen a news report in my country that asks people to spare 2 seconds to think about the lives of the Afghanistan people.
I always thought there are hundreds of soldiers dieing each day, is it really that rare?
I always thought there are hundreds of soldiers dieing each day, is it really that rare?
Not even close. Only 1,423 US soldiers have died since the war began, in October 2001. Only 360 from the UK.
