Tracy Morgan's Homophobic Rant In Anti-Gay Stand Up Set - threatens to kill his own son

PCP is a hell of a drug.
simply offending people is the lowest, laziest form of humor
Pretty much.
Offensive humor is honestly a lazy ass way to make a small group of people laugh. If you're a comedian and half your audience or even a portion of it is the butt of your jokes, you're shitty entertainer. You're not even a comedian if you rely on insult humor, you're just an asshole that makes the people he's not making fun of at the current time laugh.
I don't really see what's wrong here, sure he's a terrible comedian but i'm gay and im not offended by this.
Too many sensitive people now in the world.

Were you not reading? He said he'd stab his own son if he turned out gay, and said that being gay is a choice because god wills it.
Tracy Morgan, what, what, what are you doing?
Ok tbh I don't really care what he said I just came in here to say he isn't funny at all and all his material sucks dick.

I'm gay and I have the good sense to hold contempt for people who actively voice homophobic intentions and remarks which contribute to holding back societal integration.
Who cares?

He is a perfectly normal guy.

I was reading and from what I read this was a stand-up comedy act, not an actual rant attacking gay people.
Unless this actually was an attack on gay people I just find it silly to get worked up over it.
He mentioned that gay was something kids learn from the media and programming, and that bullied kids should just bust some ass and beat those other little f*ckers that bully them, not whine about it.
C# turned me into a gay.
It's that horrible.
wow what a dick
let's get michael eric dyson up there so he can tear him a new asshole in the most eloquent and well-spoken of ways

Well I imagine it would increase your resistance to butthurt.
guys just so you all know
this is tracy morgan
this guy is pretty much the biggest troll in the world
It's Tracy Morgan. Does it even fucking matter. Honestly, its not like most of us on facepunch haven't thought what he has said.
I've never thought about stabbing my hypothetical son just because he was homosexual.
Tracy Morgan's apology:
"I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I'm not a hateful person and don't condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context."
But PFLAG is far from impressed:
“At a time when bullying and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth is at an all-time high - when kids are being assaulted, are dying - to joke about committing violence against a child is outrageous and reprehensible. As a celebrity, Mr. Morgan needs to understand that his words have power; inciting violence against gay and lesbian kids in the name of comedy – stating that he would stab his own son to death if he was gay – is absolutely unconscionable. A simple apology is not enough – Mr. Morgan must take meaningful action to prove the sincerity of that apology,” said Jody Huckaby, Executive Director of PFLAG National.
I'm with PFLAG on this one.
He's following Michael Richards' footsteps.
Yeah he sure is struggling in his multi-million dollar mansion with his 20 different shows
you know what I meant

You keep telling yourself that
good, tracy morgan is just another shitty black comic whose entire career revolves around saying the N word and capitalizing on the fact that he is indeed a black person
hope his homophobic stand up set will finally put this boring twat out of a job
To be fair, the Michael Richards thing was worse. Tracy Morgan was at least trying to make jokes I guess? Richards was just calling people the N-word because he was getting heckled.
I don't see how those were supposed to be jokes, they don't even sound like jokes. It's pure hate speech.

Really?
Somebody should call Eddie Murphy and tell him his stand up career was a sham in that case.
Richard Pryor as well while you are at it.

yes
what do
[editline]11th June 2011[/editline]
Infact, there's very few notable black comedians I can think of that don't routinely have a part of their act where they insult white people or gay people.
Obviously nowhere near the tasteless degree that Morgan has done it, but there it is

i am so sorry
Wow. I mean I like Tracy Morgan, but maybe he should've kept those thoughts to himself.
If you look at the article, he updated it with an apology:
UPDATE: Tracy Morgan issued a statement to The Huffington Post through his representative:
“I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”
He's right.
Except for the killing part and saying it so violently.

How?
Tracy Morgan, I am dissapoint.
He went from a full blown rant against gays, saying he'd kill his own son to a meager apology. Something tells me this doesn't come from the pits of sincerity.

Since when has a celebrity apology ever come from sincerity?
