[RUMOR] Brazilians figure out a way to pirate PS4 games, everyone is kinda shocked
Call me crazy but I dont think the Xbone is any better off than the PS4 on exclusivity. I can only think of 3 exclusives off the top of my head to the Xbox that would make that purchase desirable and that's Halo, Gears, and Forza. And those are already very strong foundational games that have succeeded for many years. I chose the PS4 over the xbox and i haven't thought twice about that decision coming from the 360 and never owning the PS3. By the end of last gen consoles, the PS3 became a very successful console despite it's low popularity from launch. Give the PS4 a chance to show its potential. We're only just now starting to get into development for purely next gen consoles.
Or I can give neither of them a chance to waste my money and just wait until they have fleshed out libraries and lower pricepoints before I take the plunge.
Please do not list LBP3 as a good PS4 game.
Not only is it a PS3 game (people look for exclusive ps4 only games when they buy a new ps4), it is also littered with glitches, does not have all the LBP DLC ever made ported, and game-breaking errors that destroy saves.

it's depressing because its the only exclusive series that has impressed me on the PS3.
games like Infamous are cool on the PS4 but it is not a console seller or 100% worth buying immediately.
would say persona 5 is a ps4 seller but its coming on the ps3 too so ya
I had almost forgotten to arbitrarily exclude Persona 5 as a possible good PS4 game, because it will be available on PS3.
Really though, only LBP impressed you? Journey, Demons Souls, TLoU, Wipeout, Ratched & Clank, Uncharted, Killzone 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Motorstorm, God of War 3, you didn't like anything else? Come on, PS3 had a great and diverse library.
Also, I think LBP3 has been patched for a while now, but I'm not sure.
Have you checked out the upcoming games I listed? If you like LBP, you might be interested in Tearaway Unfolded, R&C Redux, and possibly Rime. Go ahead and check out the ones you don't recognize as well.
People do not generally buy new consoles for exclusives, some do, but most of the people who are buying a PS4 are buying a PS4 to play newer games in 1080p with better graphics and are tired of PS3 or 360's gen of 720p.
JAJAJAJAJA

I said series, not single game.
For example, on the ps3 i only like Uncharted 2, Infamous series (But i didn't fall in love with it), the entire LBP series except 3, the various "that game company" games and MGS4 on PS3. I never really liked killzone, gow, demon souls/dark souls (i know they are good games, i just don't like the gameplay style), R&C, etc.
LBP is the only series that popped up on PS3 first that has impressed me. LBP3 is bad tho

i already played tearaway on the vita though (only game i 100% loved on the vita. Media molecule is one of the few sony devs that are actually good), no reason really to buy it on the PS4 again.

with the advent of cheap gaming PCs that overpower consoles that also have controller support and systems designed to work with controllers to select games, Exclusives is the only reason to buy a console anymore.
Not only can you get a PC that is cheaper than a PS4 that can outperform it, you can also get third party games at a cheaper price on PC, making it more cost effective in the long run.
(Side Note: i own a PS4, XB1, and a Wii U. my Xb1 and Wii u Get alot of use but i haven't touched my PS4 in months. i may get bloodborne soon if i can find it for cheap tho ill prob wait for MGSV.)
Even with Bloodborne I can't justify buying a PS4. Basically, the value of the games I want to buy has to be greater than the value of the system itself for it to be justifiably to me. If I spend more on the system than the games, I've wasted money and I'm not getting much use out of the system.
My PS4 is mostly a Bloodborne and Persona 5 machine so I'm already happy with my purchase.
Still hope a bunch of interesting big titles are going to be announced for it soon.

Tearaway Unfolded isn't going to be just a port. 50% of the game is new content to accommodate the PS4's controller differences from the Vita, and the new abilities. It should feel like a new game.

I agree with that being choice. I merely presented my argument to those who believe the PS4 is not worth the time over the Xbone. Both these machines are just about equally as powerful, so I would believe it just comes down to personal preference at this period of time. How the controller feels, UI preference, the visual appearance of the console, etc.
I found an article on Forbes where they contrast the consoles on exclusives and the author's conclusion was basically both consoles are just not showing good exclusives. For those that may be interested in reading the whole thing.
Seriously just Bloodborne. I've had a PS4 since October of last year and Bloodborne is what really made me think "yup, now it's worth it." Don't me wrong, it has other great games that are multiplats and infamous is really cool but Bloodborne actually makes it a worthwhile purchase if you're even into that type of game
PT too
bullshit, there's mortal kombat X, dyeing light, gta 5.
bullshit, there's mortal kombat X
Multi platform
dying light,
Multi platform (again)
gta 5.
Multi platform (again again), also PC modding master race, even if Rockstar doesn't want that.
No good incentives to buy a PS4, and not many either for Xbone.

Can you explain why multiplatform games don't count as good games? Do they only count as good games on your favorite system?
Also can anybody explain why you aren't allowed to count indie games, remasters, or multi-family (as in available on both ps3 and ps4 or xb1 and 360) games as good games?
The only reason I can think of is fanboy wars.

Because they aren't system exclusive, meaning you don't need that exact system to play them, thus they don't add anything to that system. If I wanted to play GTA V, I don't need a PS4 necessarily, because I can play it on PC, 360, PS3, etc. Now if I wanted to play a PS4 exclusive title, then I need a PS4, not a XB1.

How exactly do they not add anything to a system? That is simply nonsense. Good games don't make a system's library better unless you can't play them on another system? No that's dumb. The more good games available, the better.
Can you explain why multiplatform games don't count as good games? Do they only count as good games on your favorite system?
Multiplatforms don't count because they're not typically the reason you go for a specific system. If you already own a PC as well as a PS4 for example, and GTA 5 was hypothetically released at the same time on both, you'd obviously go for the PC version because it's always the better version. They don't count because they're not necessarily system sellers.
Good games count as good games whether they are indie or multiplatform or remasters or remakes. Sorry.
Honestly the only reason I bought a PS4 was for Infamous: Second Son and Gran Turismo 7 (which isn't made yet).

Ok then. Here's a little exercise:
I want to play GTAV, the next Call Of Duty, and Dragon Age Inquisition. From these 3 games alone, tell me which system I should choose based on it's game library.
Good games count as good games whether they are indie or multiplatform or remasters or remakes. Sorry.
Like I said, they aren't system sellers.
I have a PC, if a game comes out on PC and PS4, I'm not going to buy the console for that game, because I know I can get the better or identical version without having to shell out so much.
Can you explain why multiplatform games don't count as good games? Do they only count as good games on your favorite system?
Nobody said that. He said that those are available outside of the PS4, hence why should he pay 400 dollars to play games that he already can on his PC?
None of the consoles have many worthwhile exclusives. Xbox one has MCC and soon Halo 5 and PS4 has Bloodborne.
Nobody said that. He said that those are available outside of the PS4, hence why should he pay 400 dollars to play games that he already can on his PC?
Most people buying consoles don't own gaming capable PCs?
Also, multiplatform games actually do sell systems. You can go look at console sales charts during CoD, Battlfield, or other hugely popular games releases and see sales boosts.

I own a PS3, 360, Xbox One, and a perfectly capable PC. Where is your source for this claim?

That's nice for you, but you are in the minority. Most console gamers will buy one system and leave it at that.
Go look on google, try polls or something.
If you buy something with the intent to pirate, PS4 would be a good choice for many games. Just because a game is multi-platform doesn't mean there's nothing to play on PS4.
That's nice for you, but you are in the minority. Most console gamers will buy one system and leave it at that.

So are you saying that a large group of console gamers doesn't own a PC or a laptop that's capable of running those games that you listed? I find that hard to believe since any PC sold in the last 4-5 years are capable of running them. Even GTA 5. I mean the minimum GPU for GTA V is a NVIDIA GeForce 9800 for christ sakes a card that came out in 2008
That's nice for you, but you are in the minority. Most console gamers will buy one system and leave it at that.

I'm with Adarrek on this one. Both consoles this gen are woefully underpowered. Anyone who has bought a PC since at least 2010-12 will easily be able to run games from them, whether it's intended for gaming or not, whether they own a console or not.
And why should I go researching for a claim you made? If you're trying to prove the point then back it up.
So are you saying that a large group of console gamers doesn't own a PC or a laptop that's capable of running those games that you listed? I find that hard to believe since any PC sold in the last 4-5 years are capable of running them.
The title "console gamer" speaks for itself here. Console gamers are people who game on consoles.
The title "console gamer" speaks for itself here. Console gamers are people who game on consoles.
Now you are just moving goal posts from
Most people buying consoles don't own gaming capable PCs?
But anyway i suppose you are right. But that doesn't change the fact that for most people there is no reason to buy a ps4 or any of the next gen consoles just for a few games that they could just as well play on their PC with a controller, on their TV, sitting on their couch.
The title "console gamer" speaks for itself here. Console gamers are people who game on consoles.
By that logic a race car driver would never walk. These groups can overlap, you know.
9 in 10 8th-gen console gamers have claimed to have owned a 7th-gen console. but actually it turns out that they all threw them out immediately after getting their ps4 so that they could enjoy all of the playstation four games
