TODAY I'LL BE LOOKING AT THE RAPTOR X, 150 YOTTABYTE HARD-DRIVE.
1 yottabyte, shit. I wonder if that could store the entire internet on it (as in all of the data from the internet).
Edit: according to wikipedia that could store the entire internet! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yottabyte
Interesting. I wonder if they download the internet, then could get arrested shortly after for possession of child pornography and a ton of other messed up things.
So, they could basically download the entire internet.
Daily.
I dont think so
You guys talk like there is a limit on porn.
woah
Isn't one quadrilloin a bit overkill?
No Kill Like Overkill.
:ninja:
Put that in Raid.
This can't be real. It goes against our right to privacy.
Read the Constitution. There is no "right to privacy" and they shouldn't be. The government doesn't look at average schmucks like you.
Unless you're suspected of something, then you'd better hide.
yottabyte. it sounds like terrifying. it exudes a wrongness. it sounds as if it were wrought by elder things.
It's a british billion.
No....
It's a thousand British trillions (a trilliard?)
good thing I don't live in the U.S
LOL.. The NSA can listen to messages anywhere around the world.. Don't believe me? Research it, it really isn't that hard to do. How do you think they listen in on terrorists and shit?
It's just a cover story for the 'Loop', an artificial simulation of entire galaxy.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
And the Americans have the nerve to say Britain is totalitarian?

Unreasonable? What's unreasonable about looking for people who want to destroy us?
Unreasonable? What's unreasonable about looing for people who want to destroy us?
1. They aren't "Downloading everything". They keeps tabs on suspected terrorists/killers, nobody else.
2. People have tried to sue and lost miserably.
And the Americans have the nerve to say Britain is totalitarian?
You are. :smug:
But we are too, that's why the countries are like brothers.
Might get a knock on my door for this, but this is really fucking stupid because you can EASILY get around this.
Use a programmable phone with Voip, using 256 encryption. We currently don't have a super computer strong enough to decrypt 256 encryption within a reasonable time frame.
Tada, I just broke the system.

are we talking RSA encryption now? if so, use 2048 bit if you're worried about your privacy, if you have reason to be worried, they will be able to break through 256 bit...

1. no they have buzz words like die or islam or bomb and common words like that and then they intercept every email that has those words and copy it onto their system which is wrong and unreasonable and impersonal and not justified
it is suspending your rights
2. ill just hire a jewish guy
Edit: Apparently every human word ever spoken stored as audio can fit in 42 exabytes so this is overkill
Maybe they're audiophiles, and only store it in FLAC
Wow, this is going to be a huge blow to us.
I mean your being watched when your messaging or calling.
And what a waste of electricity. The NSA are fags.
Be right beck some dudes with suits are outside my door.
Dear god what would happen if you formatted it...

Or just send a letter.
Now make it a RAID0.
One drive fails and the main tech guy is like "why the fuck did i do this"
Sick write speed tho'.

It would heat the storage facility to the temperature of the SUN!
It would heat the storage facility to the temperature of the SUN!
Depends of what part of the sun we're talking about here. Our future fusion reactors will probably reach far more temperature than the sun.
We're using all this memory to spy on ourselves. Lovely.
What happened to AI research anyway.
By invading it first?
Of course, if they invade it first it keeps other people from invading it since they already invaded.
