Those empty threats from US were funny for some time, but it's getting annoying. How about you fucking do something about it? And not something retarded like sanctions, they don't do real damage and only riling up other russains to blindly support Putin.

Why can't Europe help for a change? It's right on their doorstep this time.
So what? In 40 years, we'll attempt to stop them again. You don't let a thief steal just because you know he'll keep stealing.
Did I ever say that we should just let them take Ukraine? No. But we need to do something to prevent them from doing this in the future, (preferably without making Metro 2033 non-fiction :v:)
It kinda ruins your credibility if you say "hey don't do this or we'll fuck you" and then they cross the line and you don't fuck them, then the next time you say "hey don't do this or we'll fuck you", they know that you're probably bluffing. Russia has nothing to lose by continuing action because "don't do this or we'll fuck you" has been the rhetoric for the entire time, and no real fucking has occured.
[editline]23rd August 2014[/editline]
Did I ever say that we should just let them take Ukraine? Any damage a country takes now will inevitably be healed and fixed at some time and be ready again. The best we can do is take the world's issues one at a time as they come at us through the future, not a "one time will fix all" solution.
This entire thing is stupid and Russia is fucking themselves.
It's Europe's problem more than it's the US's problem. Maybe Europe should step up to the plate before we have to commit to anything more significant than sanctions.
Europe also does nothing except meaningless sanctions and threats. Not to mention every EU leader has their own opinion about approaching this situation, so there's no unity of opinions between them. So if not now, then soon US have to step up. I just hope it won't come to anything aggressive.
Or else the United States will offer Ukraine membership into the Union as an unincorporated territory.
Feels like both sides just throwing empty threats and nothing more. Also, i can't understand, why can't they just check this convoy, and push it back if there is something else except humanitarian aid inside?
what if Putin just says : "no ", then what?
what if Putin just says : "no ", then what?
Then we back up, draw another line and yell "Well, don't cross this one!"
except Russia did bend and pulled the trucks back
except Russia did bend and pulled the trucks back
Lol they dropped their payload off and returned. What are they going to do with no payload? You know what a truck is used for right?
