Getting executed by firearm is a hell of a lot more painless than lethal injection or the chair. Hell, I'd hate to die by injection. John Wayne Gacy (or perhaps another death row inmate?) survived long enough to describe the feeling. Allegedly, you can [i]feel[/i] the poison moving through you. However, a bullet travels at over the speed of sound, and one bullet is enough to sever the spinal column or destroy enough of the brain to cause instant death. If I was on death row, I'd demand death by firing squad/firearm. Painless and very, very quick.
