Also there's the fact that if Star Trek didn't exist, it's very possible that Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) would never have gotten a divorce from her husband Jack Ryan, who later on got involved in a sex scandal, forcing him to withdraw from his race to senate. His replacement eventually lost the election Obama. So It's possible that Obama might not be president if it weren't for Star Trek...!
