I was watching a video of it and one of the catholic priests took a piece of candy out of his pocket trying to get the kid off stage.
I wonder why he has candy in his pockets.

This is one of those things that really make you happy when you read about them.
you may not agree with Christianity beliefs, but the church is a big, global and influential entity as a whole, so its always nice to have such a nice dude on its lead

Well yeah they elected a Jesuit who are usually considered the fruity faction of the catholic church (and the most progressive). That just never really happens since they usually elect conservative(ish) popes purely because the holy see benefits from stability

He's old. All old people have hard candy ALL THE TIME.
It's always weird brands, too. Stuff you can't find, even if you're looking for it. I'm convinced it just appears in their pockets.
