Tim Cook: Highest Android switch that we’ve ever measured
I would switch to any company any day if someone just started making phones with actual fucking buttons again. I hate touch screens, and has the following functionality: calling and texting.
Blackberry is still around with keyboards and trackpads and shit. They have a slider phone in development and it's rumored to run android so that's something to look forward to.
All the cool kids are bashing Apple for everything, don't you know?
I actually read the a huge chunk of Apples growth is from China and in other regions they are actually doing poorly
My first smartphone was a Galaxy S2 and it was perfectly useable up to late 2014. Then I got a Nexus 5 and have had zero problems with it. My mom got a Galaxy S4 around the same time and her phone is slow as fuck. So I think a lot of people who switch to iPhone from Android are probably using Samsungs and low end crap.
I switched from an iPhone 6 to a Galaxy s5 recently and honestly I'm thinking of trading back for my iPhone 6 and just jailbreaking it to get the customization I want. Samsung and ATT bog the s5 down with bloatware and make it run like shit, even with a different launcher, it's a shame.
I have a strong desire to kill myself every time my relatives request to help them out with their apple devices because of itunes and general lack of plug&play.

That is your fault for going with Samsung
Motorola, LG, Sony, HTC, ect are all superior, Samdung is like your worst option.
Also if you are on AT&T you can get get an unlocked phone with no carrier bloat.
If you go Samsung, first thing you do is get a custom rom, I know most people don't do shit like that, but the hardware is p. good, just their software sucks ass.
Might have something to do with China blocking Google.

I got it for free so I'm not really gonna complain about it. Plus I'm used to rooting and putting a custom rom to get rid of any and all bloatware but ATT locked the bootloader down for the s5 killing that possibility, so I'm stuck with Nova Launcher to make it run a bit better but not as fast as it can actually run minus the bloatware.

If you're willing to jailbreak your iPhone, why not just root your S5 and install a custom ROM?
[editline]23rd July 2015[/editline]
Whelp nevermind. You should still be able to root it and disable any bloatware.

It's literally impossible to root it. I've tried everything, and checked XDA. AT&T has made it physically impossible to root it, or access the bootloader even. I guess it's more AT&T at fault than the device itself. I guess that's another reason I liked my iPhone 6, Apple made it clear they want no carrier bloat on iOS and want it stock as possible, which is why it runs clean.

Ah, you updated to 5.0.
Even though I'm on iOS now
I still mess with my s4 in regards to android development
My brother has a oneplusone and I really like how the ui is for it because it's so damn colorful and bloatfree.
I used to have a samsung galaxy s2 and now have an iphone 5c. Thought I was getting an upgrade but really feels like a downgrade, and the s2 is three phone generations younger :v:
I've been on android since my first phone
I switched to 6 plus because
I went through galaxy s, s2, and s4 and i got tired of all the unstable bullshit
Sure I miss that there's more freedom for certain options but iPhone just makes things more simplified
So after having issues with Samsung phone after Samsung phone, why wouldn't you try another manufacturer? One that doesn't include bloatware and have their own interface that messes everything up?
owning an htc android phone was the worst experience. mine broke and i still had 4 months left on the contract and it would cost $$$ to get it fixed so i went without a phone for 4 months and that was a better experience than using that phone
I love iPhone because of how iCloud is integrated in iOS and OS X.
I just switched from iOS to WinMo.
Yeah, my 5 is pretty sluggish on iOS8
Edit: I hate writing iOS with a lower case i. It feels so wrong.
I've got an iPhone 5 (I had to downgrade from a 5s after water damage) and jailbreaking then installing noslowanimations made it feel a thousand times faster, it feels no different than my 5s did
The only thing I don't like about iOS 7 is the slow floaty animations, speeding these up makes it really nice and snappy, I deffo advise it now jailbreaking is so easy
I had a lot of problems with my Galaxy S3.
Then I rooted it. The problems almost immediately went away.

Not really an option since it's a work phone.
The major problems with Android are that I really feel need to taken care of are:
1. The Play Store apps that end up being tons of clones of popular apps by third parties, which basically fills the app store with tons of garbage.
2. Since each phone uses different hardware, Google has to develop Android to be compatible as many devices as possible, then send it to each cellular provider so they can compile their own versions (Samsung, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.), which makes updating the OS a pain in the ass, and some phones end up on the "not-updating list" very early on.
Granted, the customization is great, and rooting improves Android immensely, it can only do so much to stem the tide.
What are the market shares between Android and iOS nowadays?
One thing I must say, iPhone has a good camera
I wish android could catch up, because the features suck.
I'm pretty sure the Oneplus One is still the best phone for photography. I'd imagine the Oneplus Two will be even better.

If you get a cheaper phone its never being updated
Please elaborate on Apple's irrelevance.
Their notification menues are garbage, their laptops are just....well dated, underpowered, and lacking very important ports, I mean the iPhone 6 has probably been their biggest hit in a long time, the large entry barrier to the watch will probably keep it held back for this generation

How about I send you a text and check your notifications or connect two devices to your macbook air, or actually look at the specs on all their laptops and compair to other manufacturers specs and or notice how long it takes them to update their laptops

1) Swipe down - voila.
2) You're looking at only ONE laptop of theirs. There are still Air and Pro models, which have more than one slot.
3) Specs are outdated? Then it is truly a shame for "more powerful" laptops which can't work on Windows without freezes. (even though this no longer applies to a lot of laptops with Win8.1 and Win10)

The notifications on Android is clean and simple, on apple stuff it has a fucking immovable stock ticker and hasn't changed since it was added
No the air is a joke and their other laptops have been mildly updated while everybody else in the laptop game is surging ahead
If you are having windows freeze upgrade from 98 to win 7, you can't buy a laptop today that doesn't run Windows well

send me a text and i can swipe down to view what it is on my phone, i can also quick reply too. It also shows up on my mac, and I can send you a text message back, with my mac.

(and the macbook pro has even more!)
Unless you're trying to criticize the Retina macbook, in which case I suggest learning about the product you're trying to make fun of. In either case, you can still get another model of laptop apple offers if you want more than the one port of the retina macbook.
They update their computers usually once a year. Is this not often enough? Do you replace them faster than that?
