Our $50 is pretty stupid, we have 2 series of them in circulation at the moment but here is the newest(comes november 2011)... Looks kind of stupid compared to our old one, but whatever its going to be plastic which means I can jump into freezing water while holding money!
Plastic money is a great concept, every country should make their money out of plastic.
Plastic money is a great concept, every country should make their money out of plastic.
But then you cannot tear it in half, half'd $20's are worth $10 valid currency here. Same applies to all other bills too. If more then half is intact its worth full value :V
Canadians money is so colorful. <3.
But then you cannot tear it in half, half'd $20's are worth $10 valid currency here.
Wait what, you are joking right.
Wait what, you are joking right.
Nope, I'm not joking at all. I can tear a bill in half and its worth 1/2.
Well because that note isn't actually produced and circulated. It's different in this situation.
it is circulated. you can also buy them in uncut sheets and use them.
british people always get they want
I want fucking Netflix, but I don't get it.
Nope, I'm not joking at all. I can tear a bill in half and its worth 1/2.
Are you serious? Please be serious.
If you think £50 is much then check this out. I've only seen it once in my life.
What's that worth now, 50p?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2043395/Incredibly-rare-million-pound-bank-note-sold-just-69-000-legal-tender.html?ito=feeds-newsxml One million pound note
What's that worth now, 50p?
£429.50.
I like it - not that I'll ever see one though. Anyway, I think how the we value our notes is good. I don't know why I would want to carry around 500 euros in my pocket at one time.
My girlfriends dad is slightly flash, when ever he gets money out he'll go into the bank and actually ask for £50 notes. ... I even found one in my birthday card. :v:
Fun fact, you can test a £50 note to see if it's real by folding it along the tapiered line and rubbing it on paper, if red comes off then it's real. Like everyone else I haven't seen 50s very often, just when working behind a till because the chinese take away owners often tend to use them.

You can fit 40,000 in a cigarette packet. [editline]1st October 2011[/editline]
I meant 100 pounds.
In Scotland we have £100 notes.
that money looks fake some how
you've never had a scottish note have you?
you've never had a scottish note have you?
no
weird how you guys dont see 50 pound notes often, Over here the equivalent of that would be 100 dollar notes and I see those all the time, theyre quite common [editline]1st October 2011[/editline]
no
you put your avatar to shame
I thought £50s were really easy to forge so people stopped accepting them or something odd like that ages ago.
It surprises me how often people will pay for their $3.40 coffee with $100 notes at my work. Australian money is all about moustaches and artillery:
I heard on the news that they were going to stop printing 500s because criminals use them for smuggling. [editline]1st October 2011[/editline]
that money looks fake some how
Scottish money tends to look fake, its a reason a lot of places outside of Scotland refuse to accept it.
In Scotland we have £100 notes.
Haha your scottish notes are hideous.
As I am aware of, £50 is the highest pound note we have.
£50,000,000 Notes exist
We have £50 notes now?
We have £1million and £100million notes too, albeit they're used only internally within the BoE
Scottish money tends to look fake, its a reason a lot of places outside of Scotland refuse to accept it.
Not really - Scottish money is still legal tender throughout the UK, and therefore buisnesses have to take it as payment (although if you're buying something they could refuse to sell it to you - but I've never run into problems with that). I've also seen plenty of fifties, although as I'm not keen on carrying cash I'm not keen on them myself. I work for a major UK supermarket and we're supposed to check every £50 note that comes from the till. The last time I had a fifty I used it in my local as the landord likes (real) ones as they make it easier to cash money in at the bank.
I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet

[editline]2nd October 2011[/editline] Also i love the quote. "I sell here, Sir, What all the world wants - POWER" That just sounds like some steampunk raygun dealer's slogan.
I have a friend from Zimbabwe he said the currency there was that shit that they switched to US dollars while they lived in Zimbabwe
