This could potentially ruin the steam community what with all the mac fags.
in the description it doesn't say they're on low settings, it just says they're not on high.
You should try watching the video and listening to him.
The only thing I go into Bootcamp for is for Source engine games. This is probably the largest step forward for Mac gaming ever.
This is the only step forward for Mac gaming ever.
I support this
I hope I run into the 'good' kind of Mac users online.
I hope I run into the 'good' kind of Mac users online.
add me on Steam, I'm one of the "good' Mac users.
I remember when Mac users got all excited when EA announced they were making games for Mac. Then they turned out to be shitty ports running in an emulator hahaha
I remember when Mac users got all excited when EA announced they were making games for Mac. EA iwa fucking lazy with those ports.
I hope I run into the 'good' kind of Mac users online.
Add me, then.
Add me, then.
can I add you too? MAc buddies :buddy:
Sure, why not.

That still is about twice the price of its equivalent. I'm not hating, just correcting a fact. If people like to throw their money into crap like that then it isn't my problem. It isn't my money.
Do we think this will see the return of the 64bit version of the source engine (All macs now using 64bit CPUs)?

I was showing what the specs are for the high end 27" iMac becasue someone else posted the wrong specs.
"Except the fact that they are insanely over priced and that MOST people who buy they are ignorant morons." I think you missed a word. 95% of the people I know who own/want a Mac want it because "it looks cool" or because they currently use a 7 year old dell that cost $500 running Windows xp and they think all PCs suck as a result.
the above statistic is based on extensive scientific study by nasa
I look forward to seeing more and more game profits go towards making great games... Like Episode 3 and/or Half-life 3...
Linux? [editline]10:47PM[/editline] I mean seriously if Linux had decent games then that would be the awesomest thing ever.
I like this, just because OpenGL means the possibility of Linux in the future.
Do we think this will see the return of the 64bit version of the source engine (All macs now using 64bit CPUs)?
Why would that make a difference? The vast majority of Windows PCs have 64-bit CPUs.
See, most of us can agree that Mac and Windows users are perfectly happy with one another so long as they aren't bashing each other. There are tons of Mac fags on MacRumors, and a lot of Windows fags on other forums. It's stuff like the open flaming against either platform that gives them both a bad rap. I know around 10 people that run Windows on Bootcamp, and only keep the Mac because that's what their family decided to buy at the time. I also know plenty of people running a Hackintosh purely for the fact they like Mac OS more. Back on topic, games on Mac will definitely mean that we can start getting developers interested in Source & Steam a lot more, resulting in a brighter future for both platforms.
Furthermore, Mac and Windows players will be part of the same multiplayer universe
Fucking balls. There are going to be so much Mac vs. PC wars now, I can tell.
Interesting news. Cool to see Source's modularity really working.
Nice that Valve is expanding its platforms. Everyone deserves to experience the superb content they have to offer. Go Valve!!!
I have had an extreme hatred for Mac over the past few years, mostly due to the smug commercials. But I respect Valve's venture into new territory, the way I see it, this is the Louisiana Purchase of the online gaming market, a lot of valuable territory to be gained.
Would be cool if you could see who used what on the scoreboards.
The whole price thing is stupid. You should be flaming someone with a BWM or Lexus, because clearly the Toyota Corolla could be doing the same thing for half as much.
This sounds like the beginning of multi-platform multiplayer. I can't wait.
The first day I played TF2 was on my friend's XBox 360, and I wanted to play with him on his computer. Unfortunately this was not possible, and I want to see a game that does this by default.

I'm running on my hackintosh, this is awesome.
I guess if Valve decides to add PS3 everything will be all huggles and snuggles and no more console and computer wars!
