man now i cant tell people to delete their system32 folder :(
I call Mac vs PC TF2 servers
Red (WinXP/Vst/7) vs Blu (Mac)
Nope. They'll have to add Linux support.
Now people can only complain about W + M pyros.
The whole price thing is stupid. You should be flaming someone with a BWM or Lexus, because clearly the Toyota Corolla could be doing the same thing for half as much.
Except Toyota Corollas don't have the luxury of either of those two brands, nor the horse power, nor reliable pedals, etc.
Horrible example.
I have a profound hatred of Macs mainly due to their advertising and the obnoxious spoiled kids at my school. Their entire mindset is "More money = silvery, goodness".
This is a good move on Valve's part, but not an entirely good move for the Steam Community. I'm fairly certain there is going to be a HUGE flame war down the road.
Just as predicted...
Valve is going to revolutionize gaming on the Mac with this single advancement.
I just know it somehow.

There was no real gaming on a Mac before hand....
It would be creating it if anything.
There is at least no "Digital Distribution System" on Mac, at least what I know of.
This is great and all, seeing how it will make Valve more money, but I personally don't know too many people who own Macs that enjoy games other than shit like Farmville and such... Most people that buy them aren't really into gaming most of the time.
Don't get me wrong though, I know that there are people out there that do. And hell, if I someday got a Mac for some reason, now I know I'll have a good use for it.
What I don't understand about Macs is what they can do better than a PC. When you buy a Mac, all you're buying is a PC at double the price with OSX (Which I hardly think can justify the cost).
I'd much rather Linux support thanks.

Who the fuck uses linux?
Who the fuck uses linux?
Smart people who know what they are doing.
Who the fuck uses linux?
linux is the shit and you should use it unless you have a bunch of windows only programs (games)
but if steam were to be ported to linux, then you should use it regardless since all the games you'd ever need would be ported (except bfbc2 :C)

While a banged up Corolla from mid 90's are reliable as fuck, easy to fix and cheaper then a crackwhore.
newer one's doesn't count.

Also who needs luxury and overdimensioned power, when you can get something that does what you want to do cheaply?

I miss edit :(

well they've basically got a monopoly on the mac gaming market so yeah. It will be interesting to see if this pushes other developers to use openGL now.
He turned shadows and shaders to low. I could run those settings on an Eee PC.
Looks like utter shit too, like GtaSA or something.
Screw mac gamers. Work on Ep3.
Even though i own only a Mac, i agree

Well, not the "Screw mac gamers" but...
Gaming Revolution viva la Mac :)
More people to play with is always good.
Well, I guess people with Fischer-Price: My First Computer should be able to play, too.
Nah, I kid the Macs. Good to have more people to play with.
I bet something dumb will happen.
Valve will probably forget to allow mac users to play non-source games that are already released on the mac (like COD4).

That isn't up to Valve, it will be up to the publisher of said game to permit or deny access to the Mac version.

It's entirely at the publishers discretion as to what content goes in the Steam store.
You cant click on right click and left at the same time making ironsights impossible.
Not with the default mouse, which nobody uses... at least, I don't.
I can see it now: A Windows Steam Group and a Mac Steam Group I wonder which one will be bigger? :smug:

why no edit?

And fucktards like you will be a large part of it.

as evidenced by every other post you've made in every other thread regarding the subject

Didn't have to flame.
And I don't think there will be a huge flamewar on Steam. Messaging between Steam Communities is pretty damn uncommon. I can see the Steam User Forums getting shitstormed, but the moderators there are strict as hell, it probably won't last long.
