There are all these posts being made about how there will be an uncontrollable wave of idiot flaming mac users with into Facepunch, but I can see how it's really going to be. I'd be afraid just to post a help thread in the support forum in this atmosphere...
And fucktards like you will be a large part of it. [editline]11:16PM[/editline] as evidenced by every other post you've made in every other thread regarding the subject
You're proving my whole flaming point :smug: There are radicals on both sides, but I think if we stay to the median we should be just fine... No doubt about it there will be PC and Mac servers only.
To be honest most people with macs aren't even interested in playing games to begin with
This is good news, more new people to gun down!
Sweeping generalization of the day goes to....
Let's put it this way: I know at least two courses worth of students who almost all exclusively use Macs for their creative output, of that I can only think of like two people that play PC games, anyone else whose interested in gaming has a 360 or ps3. Based on my own experiences, not many mac users are gamers
Fair enough :) [editline]12:07PM[/editline] I know a few people who game on their MacBooks by rebooting into Windows, they must be in the minority
Yeah, a friend of mine said once "There's no such thing as a Mac gamer. There are gamers that own Macs."
Do someone know when Steam will come to Mac?
Do someone know when Steam will come to Mac?
And this is why thread bumping in the news section is fuckin retarded.
The first day I played TF2 was on my friend's XBox 360, and I wanted to play with him on his computer. Unfortunately this was not possible, and I want to see a game that does this by default.
They have to use Games for Windows Live then. It supports 360/PC games. I don't think it supports Macs, though. :P
They have to use Games for Windows Live then. It supports 360/PC games. I don't think it supports Macs, though. :P
There's only a handful of games that work together on both platforms. The PC has too much of an advantage, people aren't interested.
I have a profound hatred of Macs mainly due to their advertising and the obnoxious spoiled kids at my school. Their entire mindset is "More money = silvery, goodness". This is a good move on Valve's part, but not an entirely good move for the Steam Community. I'm fairly certain there is going to be a HUGE flame war down the road.
When isn't there a huge flame war? We're talking about a community that started a boycott because the devs made a game with new maps, weapons, characters, enemies, and game modes, and didn't make it free. Valve may be one of the best devs in the business, but honestly, their fanbase is messed up.
Take my point of view. As a bipartisan computer owner (MacBook Pro for school with Windows bootcamped for games, and custom built Windows desktop) I think the biggest benefit here is that I can chat with my friends on Steam while I'm doing homework on my Mac side. I hated switching between them a lot. I personally like OS X better. There is no justification I must give for this, that's like asking a gay person why they are gay. And no don't connect that analogy with owning a Mac. :saddowns: However, I use my Windows partition to game. I do not bring my desktop up to my dorms at college, it takes up too much room and makes the room really hot. So this is perfect for me. Thanks Valve!
Do someone know when Steam will come to Mac?

Steam and Valve's library of games including Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike, Portal, and the Half-Life series will be available in April.
Read better.
Oh great. Now every mac user at my school will be telling me about this new game Half Life 2 that came out.
