That's not going to stop them overtaking the US.
Well fuck. Worldwide communism. Fuck
Woah, well this should be interesting.
Space = Unexplored = Interesting Space = Interesting
Sorry, Been there done that... 6 times
Lets say approximately 3 billion women had two children, that's 6 billion children, woop, we doubled our population
Don't forget that it takes atleast two people to reproduce. Two people producing two people. Onoez, our population isn't really moving. And also don't forget that each person takes around nine months to make. Assuming 55 million deaths a year[1], that's roughly 41,249,000 people dying while a child is being formed.
Good, someone needs to show the U.S government it's possible to put money into space programmes and still make profit. Technological advancement above all.

If china puts a flag on the moon I hope that it makes the US go "oh shit, we're falling behind" then they pump billions into NASA.
If china puts a flag on the moon I hope that it makes the US go "oh shit, we're falling behind" then they pump billions into NASA.
This. America can't stand being in second place, hopefully they'll do something about it. But often wars seem to be more important that being #1. Example: Further exploration of the moon cancelled due to Vietnam.
Hopefully the European Union will join in on this "space race".
We're too busy running hostile occupations, having tea parties, and watching millionaires walk down the red carpet at the Oscars to give a shit about the future of the country or the species. Good luck, China.
Lets say approximately 3 billion women had two children, that's 6 billion children, woop, we doubled our population
Don't forget that the maximum life expectancy is slowly rising in developed countries! :flashfact:
Tl;dr The whole concept of a space race is to catch up to a superior nation in Space travel technology and beat them to a goal. Usually non-violent and political in nature.
If china puts a flag on the moon I hope that it makes the US go "oh shit, we're falling behind" then they pump billions into NASA.
Except for the fact that we already own it. :smug:
I like how everyone goes "lololo we haz already been on moon china is late welcome to the 20th century!!!1" while they probably are pissed off as fuck that China is going to the moon and the US isn't (and anyone should know that just because you have been there before it doesn't mean that it's completely useless to go back, there is more to do on the moon than just getting there and going back).
That is exactly what is happening. Amazing that some poster that I have found rather "mature" goes posting the same shit.
The idea of technological advancement is not to make a small jump, then go "we did it first". the idea is to KEEP GOING.
Next they are going to dump their pollution in space, not really a bad idea if they could launch it at the sun without it changing course.
We have the technogly, we can rebuild it. Make no time.
Just for the record: The Soviet Union sent the first satellite into Earth's orbit. The first man in space was put there by the Soviet Union. And the first man-made object to land on the moon was a Soviet probe. The USSR won the space race, America moved the line three times. in b4 shitstorm, you red, a man is more important than satellites blah blah et cetera
This is true, but I disagree on the win. The USSR did amazing things in the field, but the USA got so much further based on those advancements.
Here's the designs for the craft they're taking. Seriously though, they'll probably make it to Mars before us.
Who the fuck cares if they're late? I welcome their attempts, as no other country is really trying anything. I've pretty much lost all hope of America doing anything important in the next decades.
