He had it coming for being atheist.
Yes, YES You summed it up in one BEAUTIFUL post
Because that's what he's known for...
You don't have much of a career when you're known for being an atheist.
I can't help but sense a little irony in this. His books were good, albeit lacking in logic or empirical data. Hope he gets better though....
Athiest or not no one deserves cancer.
His books were good, albeit lacking in logic or empirical data.
it's philosophy
I guess Christopher Hitchens is Hitchen a ride straight to hell :xd:
I guess Christopher Hitchens is Hitchen a ride straight to hell :xd:
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheh
He's a great author. Although during debates he is a prick most of the time. Always interrupting.
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhheh
yeah that was a dumb pun :(
Oh no, not Hitchens :(
I guess him being atheist is relevant to why he's famous, but I don't really see what it has to do with him having cancer.

God is pissed
How is this news? I've never heard of this guy
And he's not just known for being an Atheist, he's been a author and journalist for a good 20+ years: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bibliography_of_Christopher_Hitchens
I'm mad because people don't believe in god, people really need to visit the tomb of jesus and Israel
I lol'd :v:
Yeah, he's a really good guy too. At least he lived well, can't fault him for wasting his life.
Yes, YES You summed it up in one BEAUTIFUL post
Please tell me you're just trolling and you're not just really dumb. Hope the guy gets well, he's really interesting and entertaining.

But god isn't real?
Most people with early-diagnosed cancer get through fine, he'll be fine.
I'm mad because people don't believe in god, people really need to visit the tomb of jesus and Israel
I know of a bloke who visited those! Richard Dawkins...
How is him being an atheist relevant to anything?
because fight the power new world order
Yeah, he's a really good guy too.
Are you kidding? He's a bigoted alcoholic blowhard.
Are you kidding? He's a bigoted alcoholic blowhard.
an entertaining bigoted alcoholic blowhard
Are you kidding? He's a bigoted alcoholic blowhard.
he doesn't have the ~lord~ on his side what do you expect from someone who doesn't fear the wrath of god
I had to pick a biography book to read over summer for school. Shoulda picked Christopher Hitchens :(
Christian nutjobs will interpret this as a sign .
Or not, and this will go on unnoticed because nobody knows who he is. (User was banned for this post ("Shitposting" - TH89))
Let him feel God's vengeance. The heathen deserves no mercy.
The thing is, this guy could be genuinely serious. [editline]04:43PM[/editline]
I'm mad because people don't believe in god, people really need to visit the tomb of jesus and Israel
What the hell does Israel have to do with anything, and you know Jesus's tomb, I'd piss all over there. Cause I'd have jet lag and need to piss from the long flight to Israel.
Or not, and this will go on unnoticed because nobody knows who he is.
People who care about secularism, religion, atheism and their influences on society care, and knows who he is. I don't come into your "Olivia Munn on The Daily Show" thread and shitpost like this because I only have a vague idea about who she is. If you don't care, fine. But speak for yourself.
The thing is, this guy could be genuinely serious.
I'm super cereal. Trust me guys.
Can someone explain to me why an Author being an Atheist means anything? Author Christopher Hitchens would have gotten the same point across without bringing up religion into a subject that has nothing to do with it.
Can someone explain to me why an Author being an Atheist means anything? Author Christopher Hitchens would have gotten the same point across without bringing up religion into a subject that has nothing to do with it.
Because he's known by most people as an atheist activist along the lines of Dawkins or PZ Myers. The average person won't go "Oh Dawkins, that evolutionary biologist." or "Oh yea PZ Myers, the evo-devo biologist that does work on zebrafish" That doesn't mean that's all he's known for, like I said he's a reputable author and journalist, it's just what most people would recognize him as.
