I like the hypocrisy in this thread.
Honestly I do not like the new Series of Crytek but this is seriously bad and I hope that they will manage fine.

From what I hear it is missing fucktons of textures, crashes a lot and sometimes doesn't even start. Anyone who wants to play this game will buy it.
This leak inspired me to get the full version if I have the cash at release. I respect Crytek. I'm interested in playing the game and I will but I also want them to know that just because it is pirated doesn't mean no one will take it.

And I know a lot of people who have it working stable minus a few loading problems and subtext.
By crashing a lot I meant when loading, not while playing the actual game.

This is sad,
Alot of games arrent worth the 50-60€ they ask for it and therefore get piratted.
This is one of them that is worth it tough.

The game also leaked for the Xbox if I'm not mistaken BUT HEY, NOO, the PC pirates leaked it by mind-controlling some Crytek employee, we are that much of a wizards.
EA is truly pathetic, fuck them. It's a shame Crytek suffers the most from this.

Off course someone will download it, do you think the world is full of angels capable of resisting the temptation of taking a peek ? It wouldn't fucking happen if they had proper security in the first place, blaming the PC community for a leak on two platforms is pointless but hey, they're masters at doing that.
And Blaming piracy for poor sales makes no sense whatsoever, the game would be available on any torrent site a few hours after the release, wouldn't it ? Whoever liked this will buy it no matter what, the quality of the product will be the only one to blame. If this is really good like they claim it to be, it WILL be a success.

agree - if you look on sites.. it says on 80% - LIKE THIS GAME? WANT MORE? SUPPORT THE DEV BY BUYING THE GAME! - I DID! i did it with bf2 and freelancer - i loved them so much

Weird thought here. During Crysis' 2's devolpment, the CEO, lead devolper and all have all been saying "We're going to show COD how it's done" and generally boasting about the game.
Mabye they had a final look at the game, said "Hey the game doesn't look that good" and came up with the bizzare scheme of leaking the early build, so that if the game flops or doesn't get a good score etc, they have a scapegoat to blame.
"Well in my opinion, the game would have done much better if it weren't for that early leak"
When the HL2 beta leaked, people in the Valve office were qouted as "wondering if the company was going to go under". So the whole leaking being serious thing is already the status qou.
Anyways it was just a weird thought. I've been a fan of Crytek since Far Cry and plan to buy Crysis 2 no matter what.
I didn't download it but I had a try over at my friends place and even this unfinished build blows cod out of the water, they had no reason to leak it. And I'm sure as hell gonna be buying it.
