You must have sand in your vagina
When you can't come up with counter-arguments you put words in his mouth
Not that it'd help, you still don't have any arguments
The sound of the dogs yelp after getting shot is so painful to hear.
Shooting a caged dog with little or no threat is indeed an abuse of power
Shooting a fully grown pitbull that is barking and attempting to escape a cage you know nothing of the durability of is not an abuse of power. Imagine if the officer had decided not to shoot and the dog had broken free and severely injured one of them? The officer does not know the dog, and officers are trained to dispatch any animal that is perceived as a threat to him or his team.

Severely injured? With full swat gear on? and what the fuck is Corgi going to do to them?

so shooting a dog in a cage is justified force to you?
Shooting a fully grown pitbull that is barking and attempting to escape a cage you know nothing of the durability of is not an abuse of power. What about the fucking Corgi how is he a threat? The maximum that thing can do is bark or bite your shoes with his small teeth.
Those cops should be put in cages and shot multiple times but be held alive.
so shooting a dog in a cage is justified force to you?
You're drawing a conclusion without any premises at all

wow, a dog that's barking when 10 SWAT members have busted through the door and started shouted. what a surprise.
You're drawing a conclusion without any premises at all
answer the fucking question
And you are comparing a police officer removing a perceived threat to a mother stabbing her son, pushing him down a flight of stairs, stabbing him more, then leaving him for dead.
You are comparing it, we are not.
What you are doing right now, is posting something irrelevant to this thread, what you are also doing is acting as if WE think the mother attempting to kill her son is right and killing an animal is wrong.
The thing what makes this thread more interesting than the other one, is that this one has a video with it.
You're drawing a conclusion without any premises at all
Swat enters house and immediately shoots caged dog, did you even read the article?
I hope none of you supporting this trigger happy cop own any guns.
answer the fucking question
It wasn't a question, it was a statement with a question mark placed after it
If its purpose was to ask my opinion, it would've been formulated otherwise. Now its purpose is to confirm the conclusion to which you came out of zero premises.

so you're going to dodge the question and not take a position
so you're going to dodge the question and not take a position
Formulate a question and I am sure he will answer it.
Formulate a question and I am sure he will answer it.
I already did but he had to resort to arguing semantics.
Okay, I will do it -
ThePuska, do you believe that the officer's use of deadly force against animals in this situation was justified?
so you're going to dodge the question and not take a position
I commented your argumentation, not this subject. Why my position on this subject is relevant to you is beyond me.
I think the semantics he is going on about is the way you formulated your question makes it an accusation.
If you are a politician and a reporter says "So you fuck babies?" it is an accusation that he fucks babies, not "Do you fuck babies?" which is a question.

so now you're going to argue about semantics since everyone in this thread already destroyed your arguments justifying this trigger happy cop's actions?
Okay, I will do it -
ThePuska, do you believe that the officer's use of deadly force against animals in this situation was justified?
I think it's pretty natural to at least somehow react to a goddamn aggressive animal. If you've got a weapon in your hand and possibly your finger on the trigger, you're probably going to use it. Of course though the dogs didn't need to die. But as I said earlier, any sympathy I feel I know to be because I find dogs lovely animals. If it was a big, intelligent snake instead of a dog, I wouldn't hesitate to shoot it because I find them disgusting.
:(

the one dog was in a cage
there's no threat there
He didn't even answer him when he asked him why he killed his dog. He just blew it off like it was no big deal. I understand they thought he was a dangerous criminal and expected resistance, and it could have just been a reaction, but he was a real dickhead by not even acknowledging it.
Police make bad dicissions, but it doesn't take a whole lot of IQ to make sensible dicissions. But who knows what the case is here. I have marijuana.
Swat enters house and immediately shoots caged dog, did you even read the article?

The dog was barking and acting in a manner the officer perceived as vicious and not knowing the strength of the cage, he acted at his discretion and disabled it.
Or perhaps he just saw a pitbull barking in a corner, didn't even realize it was in a cage? He did fire the shot seconds after the door started to open. This is somewhat a violation of a SWAT officer's training to 'Identify then react', but is still well within the officer's rights.
The video does not show very clearly what the officer at point saw, or at all what was going though his mind. We don't know.
Would you say the officers have the right to open fire on an old lady standing in the corner, yelling and screaming?
the one dog was in a cage

Doesn't particularly undermine my point about how nobody would care about this if the animal was one that's commonly associated with all the possible evils in the world.
