But why are they doing these things? Good there be... *gasp*... a good reason for doing these things? Could it be that our western governments are worse than Russia and have destabilized the world to a far greater extent, to the point they might actually deserve a little destabilization themselves?
It's not good, helpful or justified in any situation ever to take petty revenge. This is literally taught in kindergarten.
Maybe they are shilling for FSB? After reading this, it seems like the future of warfare and intelligence operations is literally becoming memes and shitposting on the internet :v:
I've seen plenty from Whoaly, and have generally been bewildered by his perspectives at best. This post, however, takes the cake for the most bizarre, irrational, and openly self-destructive statement I have ever seen from him. Sorry, Whoaly, but there's no sugar coating it: that was the dumbest fucking argument I've stumbled over in living memory. I'm half tempted to brand that nonsense on you forever with a custom title, but it was such a humiliatingly daft thing to say that I fear drawing any further attention to it, even just to mock you for it, would be a net loss for humanity.
If this supposedly former secret agent said anything against US or EU, you would never believe his words and called him a Kremlin puppet.

FSB is a "chained dog" that seems to take on more menial tasks. GRU is the most scary of the three, training with paramilitary elements and being tasked with supporting pro-Russia elements in the event of a civil war.
Thats the greatest thing about this forum. Calling out Whoaly for his "dumb fucking arguments", but completely failing to understand his point of view even if it was badly worded. This "agent" is about as qualified to speak as any of here. But his views confirm the views of the majority of this forum, so lets give him the benefit of the doubt, right? Information wars are fun.
If anyone fails to "understand his point of view," it's only because one needs to seriously re-gear one's brain to go down to the asinine, childish level on which Whoaly operates. [editline]22nd March 2017[/editline]
If this supposedly former secret agent said anything against US or EU, you would never believe his words and called him a Kremlin puppet.
Yeah, Edward Snowden is just universally reviled here.
Europe as enemy and danger ... oh the naive old Cold War logic ... irony is that European countries nor either superpower realized it yet ...

If you have ever read the slightest bit of fucking history you'd know that Russian imperialism has been just as fucking present as that of Europe's and the United States'. They have been mucking about in the middle east and beyond every bit as much. Dense motherfucker. Get the dicks out of your mouth and bother to do some basic fucking research instead of misinforming people you stupid cunt.
If this supposedly former secret agent said anything against US or EU, you would never believe his words and called him a Kremlin puppet.
Maybe they're very different circumstances.
Not really. It only takes a single word swap from "US" to "Russia" to cast a shadow of doubt over whatever is being said. How long are you guys going to continue to deny this? To someone who is completely neutral it all seems very obvious, yet you continue to play dumb for some reason. Why? Does it make easier?
Because, as said, the circumstances are very different. Its not a stupidly simple as swapping around words.
On a behalf of FSB I will say that this is not a shill. We won't hire shills that stupid.

I really struggle to imagine a scenario where you might agree with him in any way. His argument is tu quoque at best and idiotic and damaging at worst.
Im not speaking of Whoaly. Im talking about the general consensus on these forums about a broad topic, regarding news pertaining to the information war between Russia and the US. [editline]22nd March 2017[/editline] It boggles the mind how young and educated individuals fall for the oldest tricks in the book. It is a sensitive topic shrouded in jokes and mockery, true, talking about it is like walking a thin line between genuine discussion and Alex Jones-tier rationalization. But regardless, one must always ask why we assume "whistleblowers" that speak kindly of the West are just and brave, while news that paints the East in the same manner is without exception malicious and shady by default until proven otherwise.
What's the positive news about Russia that you think people are skeptical of?
What's the positive news about Russia that you think people are skeptical of?
Probably the legalisation of domestic abus- wait, no, that's not positive either.

Additionally, can you explain the general support for Assange and Snowden?
If this supposedly former secret agent said anything against US or EU, you would never believe his words and called him a Kremlin puppet.
Wow, it's almost like confirmation bias is a thing and people can choose what to believe in a world of information warfare
If this supposedly former secret agent said anything against US or EU, you would never believe his words and called him a Kremlin puppet.
1. Show me this happening on this forum. 2. If it hasn't happened because there haven't been any third-party intelligence officers coming out and making the same accusations against the US or EU, what do you think that means?
Probably the legalisation of domestic abus- wait, no, that's not positive either.
when will this legal domestic abuse meme end?
when will this legal domestic abuse meme end?
When people learn to look beyond headlines.
when will this legal domestic abuse meme end?
Yes, decriminalising it to a fineable offence unless repeated offences or broken bones is so much better and not entirely the same thing as enabling it OH WAIT.
Yes, decriminalising it to a fineable offence unless repeated offences or broken bones is so much better and not entirely the same thing as enabling it OH WAIT.
When a guy could beat up your wife to a bloody pulp and still get less than you for a black eye, you know the law is faulty. Or you slapping her and getting the same punishment as the guy, who stopped short of killing his wife. Besides it's not "broken bones". Even a few bruises could be classified as severe harm to the body. But yes, please, continue discussing this law, which you obviously know nothing about.

It's fucking RUSSIA.
I don't think he's supporting Russia because he likes Trump, I think he's supporting Russia because he likes Russia. A lot. Beyond reason.
It's certainly possible, but I'd say it's pretty likely he likes Russia because Mr. Trump likes Russia. From the other posts I've seen, he's mainly just Pro-Trump.
Can you cite an example where Facepunch has unfairly dismissed and ridiculed a Western whistleblower? Additionally, can you explain the general support for Assange and Snowden?
Apparently he can't. The most well known whistleblowers to most people on these forums would be Assange, Snowden, and Manning. This site is generally in support of all three for the most part with the main opposition being with regards to Manning being too reckless about vetting her information before leaking it and Assange/Wikileaks seemingly becoming a Russian shill. With Snowden in particular there's very few people here who are against him at all. Oddly enough the ones who are most likely to be against him are also the ones most likely to think highly of Russia as well which additionally makes Marbalo's point even shakier than it already was.

One of the biggest reasons I've seen people talk about why they dislike Snowden is that he went to Russia of all places, I'd hardly call the anti-Snowden sentiment pro-Russia. The pro-Russians love Snowden for exposing 'Western corruption' or whatever they want to call it.
