[Apple Release Statement] "iPhone 'Bending' issue would RARELY occur with normal use m8."

there are major benefits to it's ui being the most user-friendly, and that's where the iphone does shine- but it's not enough to make up for all of it's other blatant flaws
I wonder if "normal use " to them, means never putting it in your pockets.
i just have a suspicion since keeping the iphone behind so many layers of secrecy before releasing it is a feature of apple that they forget to actually test to see if it works in every day use
iPhones are overpriced cheap electronics, I thought we've been through this? Much of the r&d goes into advertising, the campaign, and other non-product based stuff. The iPhone isn't as much of a functioning product as it is a statement of status. Similar to beats headphones.
they're still pretty good regardless of whether you like them or not, even if the specs are almost 2 years behind the current flagship phones from other companies . Although to be honest they are really expensive by comparison.
it's not apple's fault, it's just that people have spontaneously developed metalbending
yeah. with their butts in most cases.
I have heard it either way and I am skeptical that this will be a major problem. We'll have to wait and see.
Do not try and bend the iPhone, that's impossible. Instead... only try to realise the truth.
What truth?
There is no iPhone.
There's is no iPhone?
Then you'll see, it is not the iPhone that bends, it is only yourself.

it can be an artwork.
I call this sculpture The Nobility of Tim

Yeah, sure only 30 people or so have reported it. Problem is, it has only been a week, and while they've probably sold around ~5m iPhone 6+s (the iPhone 6 doesn't seem to be afflicted really), this probably has nothing to do with the structural integrity of those specific devices. Over the lifetime of a device, it could become a concern for many people.
But yeah, hold yer' horses - I wouldn't say this is a big reason not to buy a 6+, but I would definitely say that it exemplifies the fact that phones should uphold a balance between thinness and practicality (especially when Apple decided to let the camera poke out anyway).

people mentioning back pocket stuff, yeah it should be expected jamming your phone in a back pocket, but the first reports I was hearing about had mentioned it was going on even in front pockets, though if you're pocketing the larger version I'd expect to have some issues if I sat down in my car and buckled up
That is why I like android, we already buy our phones with a bend, don't have to do it yourself.

Blaming the users as always apple.
i know iphones shouldn't be bending but how many of the millions sold are actually bent?
the iPhone 5 even had some bending issues apparently but mine was fine after two years of use.

applies to pretty much every smartphone OEM excluding google, oneplus and some chinese ones
Not a rabbid anti-apple scrub (I use their products) but I saw this statement coming from a mile away
Bent products for bent over customers.

Wow that thing bends?
It looks pretty sturdy...
That reminds me, I still got a 2nd gen nano, old as fuck and probably doesn't works anymore, but I'll check if its bent. Probably isn't. That thing was pretty tough.
To be honest, i don't have one, but by seeing bending tests i concluded that it just can't happen unless you do something very stupid like putting it in your back pocket or idk trying to see if it really bends. I don't see how it would bend in my front pocket, just can't.
Sure, it bends and that sucks, but stuff breaks if you don't take care.
How is putting a phone in a back pocket stupid?
good thing I don't buy any of crapple's products...

That's actually a picture of the new iPhone folded into quarters.
That's actually a picture of the new iPhone folded into quarters.
Folding an iPhone 103 times will make it thicker than the observable universe. So about the same as the screen on the iPhone 9.
There have been Android phones with similar isolated issues but nobody really gave a shit until now.

This would be a good way to determine the shape of the universe. If the iPhone 9 fits perfectly, we'll know the universe is saddle-shaped.
Hehe, typical. "It's not a bug, you're just doing it wrong."

There isnt an "AMAZING!!" rate
So apple made a phone so thin that you have to buy a thick case for it
ok apple
Apple literally says "oh this is intended" or "oh this almost never happens" every single time when the public finds a design flaw with their devices.
