See? That's why we have the best trained pilots in the world!!11!!
They sure can press the 'auto-aim' button well.
Ha speaking of automation, there was actually an article saying commercial airlines are so automated now, that if an navigation systems were to fail, or there were an actual emergency most pilots would not know how to handle it.
you dont need to copy the sun
ARA General Belgrano was a achievement because it was a crusier, not a tugboat
You can strafe with any plane that has a cannon on it, and the a-10 is used mostly for a anti-tank roll. Not so much strafing ships.
If there were ships, they'd use it on that, and strafing tends to go better when you're flying the biggest automatic weapon ever made.
To be honest, if I were trying to sink a ship from the air, I'd use an anti-ship missile.

on a tuggboat.
You used to be proud of working for that kill, the boys back in the Camels and Shermans' are rolling over in their graves
"In their graves" being the operative phrase. The Abrams blokes will be laughing all the way to the pub on account of having their bodies not filled with shrapnel.
There's nothing shameful about using automation in war in order to beat the other guy and stay alive. Throwing out stuff that could benefit you greatly in war due to some misplaced sense of honour, valour or such is nothing more than lunacy.
