I still have no idea what the fuck Neogaf is.
An extremely ugly website. Seriously, why are NeoGAF and SA so ugly.
Get wrecked, nerd. they like Totalbiscuit, ew
Who cares
I guess he was too disconnected from the fan base.
Get wrecked, nerd. they like Totalbiscuit, ew
Even if he does have a somewhat annoying tone and can sometimes be off the mark entierly, still manages to be better than like 95% of the rest of youtube.
An extremely ugly website. Seriously, why are NeoGAF and SA so ugly.
NeoGAF looks like it was designed by someone who doesn't give a shit. SA is supposed to be ugly because they want you to pay them in exchange for a better experience that you could probably get for free elsewhere.
Get fucked orth, that's just the way the world works.
NeoGAF looks like it was designed by someone who doesn't give a shit. SA is supposed to be ugly because they want you to pay them in exchange for a better experience that you could probably get for free elsewhere.
So wait SA turns super pretty if you pay?
So wait SA turns super pretty if you pay?
Not pretty, but less ugly. Ads between posts are removed (they might've gotten rid of this since Adblock is so prevalent), swear words don't get filtered to nonsense, things like that. You also have to pay for avatars, titles, the ability to use smileys, and of course there's the $10 basic membership fee which allows you to post and view the forums when the paywall is up. Veteran goons like to pretend it's an idiot deterrent.
An extremely ugly website. Seriously, why are NeoGAF and SA so ugly.
Cause the facepunch crew were cool and talented enough to put time and effort into making Facepunch look nice.
You do realize FP, /v/, Reddit, Neogaf, and pretty much every gaming community combined do not make up the majority of gamers right?
Really honestly I do think that. The biggest consumers of games probably belong to some large online community by this point.
An extremely ugly website. Seriously, why are NeoGAF and SA so ugly.
I cant tolerate dedicated gaming websites, I seriously hate most things about "gaming culture" and I think the word "gamer" sounds cringe worthy. Im ok with FP because it's not some "gaimen disucession xD" site, and that it's predominately PC gaming background
And then it turns out that everything was a clever ruse and the new Xbox also uses PC architecture and is everything console gamers could wish for And then PC and console gamers unite and dance in a field of flowers singing happy songs
Veteran goons like to pretend it's an idiot deterrent.
I'unno, if you compare the dross we get over here, I'd say it's pretty effective at that.
I'unno, if you compare the dross we get over here, I'd say it's pretty effective at that.
SA is an echo chamber to avoid getting banned Also I remember there was this thread there were someone said to stop using the slur "sperg", explaining how its the same reason we dont say x, and the the response from a typical goon was "wow you someone's race to a mental illness? You are a horrible person" Like good god they sure love being self righteous
I dont think microsoft is going to do an always online console. If they do it will be like any always online launch. Horrible. Lets hope they know what they are doing.
I don't see what relevance that has, but I can't imagine the list of people that actually want an always-online console is very long.
The list of "I want it" will probably not be long (and probably fairly limited to Microsoft and publishers), but the list of "Will never know, won't care" definitely will. Sure, there's a lot of guys that are aware of this, but most CoD gamer kids will never know.
You do realize FP, /v/, Reddit, Neogaf, and pretty much every gaming community combined do not make up the majority of gamers right?
The people who post on gaming related forums spend a LOT more of their income than casual gamers. Proportionatly they spend enough to make a large impact. Plus they influence the buying habits of casual gamers.
What a retarded fuck face good riddance
The people who post on gaming related forums spend a LOT more of their income than casual gamers. Proportionatly they spend enough to make a large impact. Plus they influence the buying habits of casual gamers.
Except that doesn't mean shit when the amount of casual gamers is so much greater than this one minority. Even if they do spend more. Its a lot easier to appeal to casuals and a lot easier to keep them happy than someone from FP, SA, or Neogaf. Especially considering how much someone from FP or /v/ hates the way that the industry wants to move.
An extremely ugly website. Seriously, why are NeoGAF and SA so ugly.
SA recently updated and it's beautiful
It's a forum like Facepunch. Unlike Facepunch, it has only two real subforums: "Talkin' 'bout games" and "Not talkin' 'bout games" (paraphrasing). Also, registration to get into the site takes... quite some time as every registration is admin approved. It has a pretty big userbase -- at this moment there are 7.7k people browsing it; of those, 4k are users. Edit: Also, you forgot GFF (GameForce Forums; though it's not as popular as it used to be) and GameFAQs.
wow was going to register because it seemed nice, but you can't use a free email provider to register, that's some bullshit [editline]11th April 2013[/editline] I understand why, but it's still super dumb
