google really really really really needs to put a record light on glass it would stop the spy camera paranoia
google really really really really needs to put a record light on glass it would stop the spy camera paranoia
I thought it already had one EDIT: it does
Now can this connect to the internet on it's own or does it need to interface with a smartphone for that? Because that's a big point, as I have no particular interest in getting a smartphone over costs.
worn glass, this is what it really looks like
Never thought about how great this would be for artists looking at references. Though I suppose it's a tad expensive just for that and everything else is like "I'll do this once in my life maybe".
google really really really really needs to put a record light on glass it would stop the spy camera paranoia
Or just get rid of the camera or make it detachable.
That's cool and all, but I still feel like I would get way more use out of an Oculus Rift than Google Glass. Not worth $1500 unless it has thermal, X-ray, and night vision.
X-ray vision is essentially useless as x-rays almost always penetrate or are absorbed by almost everything and rarely reflect (of course there are exceptions to this - if you're building a thermonuclear bomb for example you want the inside of the casing to be coated with a special x-ray reflecting material to help ignite the fusion fuel). You need your detector to be on the OTHER SIDE of the thing you're x-raying so the x-rays penetrate (or don't) the object in question, and are then incident on the detector on the other side. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you're never going to get x-ray vision.
the point is it's kinda hard to play baseball or do elevated bar gymnastics while holding a cell phone
who wears glasses while doing gymnastics or ice skating or ballet dancing or gymkhana now take that number of people, and ask "who wears $1000 computerised glasses while doing those things"
worn glass, this is what it really looks like
Do they come with a life full of exciting adventure, too?
Do they come with a life full of exciting adventure, too?
the life full of exciting adventure also comes with insurance for google glass so you can do all of those exciting things and never have to worry about your expensive hardware [editline]29th January 2014[/editline] when i go rock-climbing i dont even have my phone in my pocket for fear of breaking it so why the fuck would i film it with google glass i'd love to eat my words in a decade and see everyone using glass as much as smartphones are used now but i just cant see how it's applicable to most people's daily lives [editline]29th January 2014[/editline] like in that video, the ice sculpture guy. why the hell would you want a tiny photo reference in the corner of your eye when you could just have your laptop or your pc set up in the same room with a massive moodboard of reference on it i know it's a gimmicky advert full of gimmicky things but it's making me think the whole thing is a gimmicky product
