I remember being kicked and hit as a kid. Come to think of it, I may have been in more one-sided fights than I thought (where I would just be kicked around, never had enough strength to do anything back). I was called "gay" and "faggot" on a daily basis even though I was neither. It's a miracle I am the way I am now. I also remember that I never got help from teachers or anything, there was very little anti-bullying sentiment compared to today.

Gotta remember that the fat kid was expelled and the bully was suspended for 2-3 weeks.
If you don't fight back, you get mental and physical scars. If you fight back, you get in trouble. If you "TELL A TEACHER LUL" like all of these "anti-bullying" campaigns say to, the teacher does nothing and you get bullied even [i]more[/i] for being a tattletale. I don't even fucking understand my school when it comes to bullying.
If you try to defend yourself, you get arrested. Plus 99% of the time, if you don't defend yourself, the school takes no notice. So the bully only gets jailed when you stand up to them. But so do you.
A while ago here in my town a guy who was getting bullied killed his bully. Of course everybody said stuff like "why kill such a nice person", "rip an angel died", "i hope that murderer dies for taking the life of the nicest guy on earth", etc.

I've seen larger fellows get bullied, but it's usually emotional rather than physical.
Bullying is fucking terrible, i wish more schools would take it seriously, i went to Highschool at Carisbrooke high, on the isle of wight. I had problems there from day one , mostly becuase i wasnt born on the isle of wight. it was pretty terrible throughout, but the worst came when i reached sixth form. Some imbred kid in year 11 decided he didnt like my boots, and that he and *28* of his classmates were going to jump me at lunch time. i only managed to punch him once before i was tripped over by the sheer number of kids that turned up , one of my friends literally dragged me out of the middle of a mob of laughing jeering kids, only after i had been being stamped on, punched and spat on for about five or six minutes strait. i was sent to the school nurse, becuase at this point my right ear was torn from having my peircing ripped out, my nose was broken and i had two black eyes, and six of the guys from eariler pushed their way into the medical room and attacked me again, breaking the index finger on my left hand. after all this, i was sat in the six form leaders office and asked what had happened, the first question i was asked was "what did you do to antagonise them, you are in serious trouble if you dont provide a written statement for this."

it's because middle school is all little kids who move up and think they have a right to act like hot shit, but -unlike those in high school- are still as immature as younger kids. it's an awful combination.
worst of all, the teachers don't give a shit because middle schools have been like this for so long. my mom is a sub and says that nearly everyone hates going to the middle school to substitute and there's a much more negative atmosphere than in a high school or elementary school.

Even if you get expelled, who gives a shit. It's not some prestige College, it's fucking high school. There's a shitload of them just laying around.
Let's see the available scenarios here. Best case scenario, you fight back, bully gets punished, you get nothing. Worse case you fight back, bully gets nothing and you get several days off of school. And the worst case scenario is you get kicked out of that school and find another one. Big deal.

Go fuck yourself, it's not [B]their fault[/B] that they get bullied, its the fault of the cowardly shit stains of humanity that are the bullies. While tunring round and hitting them back may work onsome bullies, bullies are cowards and usually have backup/friends wo will join in the bullying, so they could just as easily wait for you after school, ina gang, jump you and beat the shit out of you.

Trust me , Fighting back can make it alot worse. In my highschool if you beat a bully up, he wouldnt stop, he would come back with twice as many friends and try to humiliate you as much as they could. a girl in the year bellow me punched a guy in the face becuase he kept leaning over her and sniffing her underarms to imply she had BO. he found her with two of his mates the next day, knocked her out while they held her back, then took photos of her. A4 sheets with the photo on them were being stuck to doors around school for serveral weeks, most of them had captions like "TAKES IT UP THE CHUFF" and "SLUT".
There should be a new mentality between parents and teachers/authority figures.
When you send your child to school, you are leaving them in the care of the school's staff. Whatever measures they take should be in the best interest in keeping the school a calm and peaceful place.

If school staff had more power without fear of getting sued by the parents for doing one stupid thing wrong, then I think a lot of this could be avoided. If you don't agree with what the school thinks is best for your child, then home school them. They shouldn't have to cater to your child's needs (Special needs children is a different issue)
I guess what I'm trying to say is let teachers have more authority over students. Make parents sign a paper stating "This is what we think is normal, if your child breaches any of these standards then we will take action accordingly, if you disagree, don't sign the paper and go home school your child" Then stupid parents can't sue the school for stupid reasons just because they can't accept the fact that their child is a jerk/they failed at parenting.
I've never been seriously bullied, just a loner for all of middle school. I'm completely different now but this stuff gets me so worked up...
