Would it not just be easier telling your kid to kick the shit out of them?
My parents don't mind me fighting back as long as I don't throw the first punch. I'll say the exact same thing to my kids too when I have one and find out they're bullied. In my old Middle School, if a bully was beating you up, the rules said not to fight back and take the beating so you don't get in trouble. v:v:v
This thread has deprived me of my faith in middle schoolers. Oh.
Poor kid... Unfortunately the only way I was able to stop getting bullied was to resort to physical violence. I had smashed the kids face into my locker and told him "Don't fuck with me!". I felt proud until his 3 other friends kicked the ever loving shit out of me. I wasn't really messed with anymore afterwards though and it is so unfortunate because I can't stand violent encounters. Best way to take care of a bully? Here's a tutorial:
God damn, when I was in 7th grade I was a real bitch, but at least I stood up for myself. Has that disappeared also?

Bullying is ass, I was threatened by someone who was allegedly my friend and thought it was cool to pull "pranks" on his friends, so what did I get for treating him as a friend? A death threat to me and the people in my household by 5 high schoolers, and a threat to gang rape my girlfriend. My mom didn't sleep the night we were threatened, she was so disturbed. I almost called 911, but I didn't want to send this kid off to juvi and face other problems, and he even tried to get me to believe it a month after I had found him out. In fact, I did get an officer to help track his actions, but he to this day does not know I did that. This guy also framed one of his other friends, one that I barely knew, for doing all of this to me. I contacted the principal and said that the framed person had done it and explained my situation, but nothing had been done by them because we were still unclear. I had never spoken to the person who was framed in fear of other repercussions caused by it. Yep, that's what friends are for. Fucking US school system, I tell ya.
Bullying is fucking terrible, i wish more schools would take it seriously, i went to Highschool at Carisbrooke high, on the isle of wight. I had problems there from day one , mostly becuase i wasnt born on the isle of wight. it was pretty terrible throughout, but the worst came when i reached sixth form. Some imbred kid in year 11 decided he didnt like my boots, and that he and *28* of his classmates were going to jump me at lunch time. i only managed to punch him once before i was tripped over by the sheer number of kids that turned up , one of my friends literally dragged me out of the middle of a mob of laughing jeering kids, only after i had been being stamped on, punched and spat on for about five or six minutes strait. i was sent to the school nurse, becuase at this point my right ear was torn from having my peircing ripped out, my nose was broken and i had two black eyes, and six of the guys from eariler pushed their way into the medical room and attacked me again, breaking the index finger on my left hand. after all this, i was sat in the six form leaders office and asked what had happened, the first question i was asked was "what did you do to antagonise them, you are in serious trouble if you dont provide a written statement for this."

Trust me , Fighting back can make it alot worse. In my highschool if you beat a bully up, he wouldnt stop, he would come back with twice as many friends and try to humiliate you as much as they could. a girl in the year bellow me punched a guy in the face becuase he kept leaning over her and sniffing her underarms to imply she had BO. he found her with two of his mates the next day, knocked her out while they held her back, then took photos of her. A4 sheets with the photo on them were being stuck to doors around school for serveral weeks, most of them had captions like "TAKES IT UP THE CHUFF" and "SLUT".
Why has no one sued your school yet?
If they publicly humiliate someone, publicly humiliate them. They'll never do it again, guaranteed.
that reminds me, where's that video of a bully in what seems to be russia, getting his pants pulled down to his ankles on a subway train for threatening and scaring a girl. He just walked off with a defeated look in his face.
-Nevermind-
What drives me crazy about this video is that the girl being bullied does NOTHING. Seriously stand up and punch that bitch straight in the face. Gotta fight back or else get your ass bullied. Reminds me of a video of where that fat kid slammed a kid that was bullying him.
She was probably scared that if she punched one of them, or tried to retaliate, the rest of them would start attacking her.
Gotta remember that the fat kid was expelled and the bully was suspended for 2-3 weeks. If you don't fight back, you get mental and physical scars. If you fight back, you get in trouble. If you "TELL A TEACHER LUL" like all of these "anti-bullying" campaigns say to, the teacher does nothing and you get bullied even more for being a tattletale. The only current positive outcome is that someone records it and it goes viral.
If you're talking about Casey Heynes, he wasn't expelled, just suspended.
Never been bullied. Sorry to say I can't really relate.
Who's gonna pick on a King Tiger?

Shit like this happens here because in western society people are raised with an 'independent' mindset, everyone's only looking out for themselves. When people see a fight here the first thing to cross their mind isn't help, it's I'm glad that's not happening to me.
Many of my friends claims bullying scarred them for life. The lack of social interaction for them got them the illusion that they were being bullied by anyone talking to them. Very sad.
Welcome to my world
Why has no one sued your school yet?
several of my friends parents tried i think, but nothing ever stuck. also Its not my school anymore (thank goodness), i left for the isle of wight college, and my life has greatly improved since then. there are literally no bullies there becuase the college doesnt tolorate it, ive heard of one guy being thrown out just for calling another student a greasy emo.
Anyone have a mirror? Edit: Never mind, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vq3cO6NnPkA
I can relate - one shit stain in particular almost had me wounded through the use of bricks, and this fella was a prefect, a person in a position of trust to the school. I was told to just whack him by one of my parents, but I just cannot do that. I've never been a violent person, and I'd rather stay that way. He didn't get expelled, he didn't even lose his invitation to the End of Year prom. An ass got to go to a place where he should not have been. Like this case, it always seems to be that bullying goes up to the last moment, or when threats of "home schooling" are spoken that schools try to get their shit together. It pisses me off big time, and honestly, makes me wish I could be a teacher just so I could stop it happening to others.
Where are all of these little idiots coming from? First those bus monitor kids, then the thing at the Boy Scout camp, and now this. The weird thing is that, in real life, I've never seen any children do anything worse than a few loose punch-slaps and name-calling. I guess it's the area I live in.
Really? I haven't watched this video, but when the bus monitor one was making rounds I couldn't even get through the first 30 seconds because it reminded me too much of kids back in jr high lol. Put me in a negative place. I think it does have something to do with area though. My worst years of bullying were when I was living in a very poor areas. After I moved to a wealthy county, it all disappeared without me changing anything about myself. Took a little over a year to learn to trust anyone though, which is why I'm glad people like this are being publicly denounced. When you're told you're something horrible every single day of your life, it becomes difficult not to believe it. Some people are resilient enough to get through it without any lasting consequences, but not everyone is. So yeah, I hope this trend continues. When these children realize that their viciousness earns them no respect in the real world, and they experience the hatred and nastiness that they give to others, perhaps they'll stop.
I've been bullied way too many damn times during middle school. One time some student thought it was funny to squirt some soda on me during lunch and another time is when I got physically assaulted in a computer lab. I try doing something but they don't think the bullies are troubled. Fuck my middle school years.
I think we have to stand against bullying. But for the record, zero tolerance rules are BULLSHIT. [editline]30th June 2012[/editline]
that reminds me, where's that video of a bully in what seems to be russia, getting his pants pulled down to his ankles on a subway train for threatening and scaring a girl. There's one smartass in my high school who thinks it's funny to follow me around in breaks blasting the one and only music genre I hate. He's been doing this for months, so I snapped and started fighting him. Next thing I know, he pretty much threatened me to beat the shit out of me. But you know what I'll do? I'll wait for him to fight me, and I'll then poke one of his eyes out. Literally. If he doesn't see how fucking wrong he is, then he doesn't deserve eyes. I'm fed up with all this bullshit bullying thing, and I will put a fucking stop to it.
