Meh. I don't really mind this. Really though, how much of FP lives in NYC anyways? Theater food is overpriced and I just drink water at the restaurants anyways. Try it sometime.
I'll wager they're more likely to share those.
..? sugar only makes people ravenous fat-building slobs when administered via liquid? [editline]14th September 2012[/editline] i dont get it, we talk about how weed should be legal because if a consenting adult wants to do something potentially harmful to himself he should be able to make that choice, but if its fat people at the cinema wanting a pop we're crossing the line?
approved? this type of thing has been brought up probably hundreds of times and always gets shot down immediately, what made them approve it now?
..? sugar only makes people ravenous fat-building slobs when administered via liquid?
Obesity is a far more harmful problem than weed.
so you get to choose what people can do for their own good isn't that, like, the entire anti-weed argument in a sentence
Obesity is a far more harmful problem than weed.
not really. Drug smuggling has victims, all obesity does is gross out the kiddies on the internet
not that it matters because stopping people from getting a large soda doesn't address the plethora of other ridiculously unhealthy habits and products that are completely legal
so you get to choose what people can do for their own good isn't that, like, the entire anti-weed argument in a sentence
I don't really see it as a contradiction man, can you explain it to me
this is a dumb simile. Human bodies are way more complex than cars.
Do I really have to explain that I wasn't comparing human bodies to cars? I was comparing a stupid and unnecessary inconvenience to a hypothetical stupid and unnecessary inconvenience.
not really. Drug smuggling has victims, all obesity does is gross out the kiddies on the internet
why is it a epidemic then
I don't really see it as a contradiction man, can you explain it to me
"its ridiculous that people say i can't smoke weed, i know the risks and i'm okay with them. if i want to smoke weed i will, because i'm an adult and i can make my own decisions" "large sodas?? cmon guys you can't drink that, make it illegal. this is outrageous, you'll get fat."
why is it a epidemic then
I don't know but your life is absolutely 100% not going to be worse because someone else weighs more than you also what difference does it make if it's an epidemic? lots of people breathe or use the toilet too, are you going to suggest banning oxygen or bathrooms?
I don't know but your life is absolutely 100% not going to be worse because someone else weighs more than you
obviously
also what difference does it make if it's an epidemic? lots of people breathe or use the toilet too, are you going to suggest banning oxygen or bathrooms?
no what the fuck are you talking about
obviously no what the fuck are you talking about
you asked why it was an epidemic like just because more people are fat than smoke weed its somehow a billion times worse edit: asked isn't really the right word there but you get the idea
that breathing shit made no sense at all
"its ridiculous that people say i can't smoke weed, i know the risks and i'm okay with them. if i want to smoke weed i will, because i'm an adult and i can make my own decisions" "large sodas?? cmon guys you can't drink that, make it illegal. this is outrageous, you'll get fat."
I guess I just find soda more harmful than weed. Weed is a pretty innocuous plant that been around for centuries and isn't accepted in mainstream society because tobacco companies pushed them underground. Soda is fucking everywhere despite it being a corrosive acid and having hundreds of grams of sugar in it.
I'm so glad we have people to tell me how big my drinks can be, otherwise who knows what could have happened.
I'm so glad we have people to tell me how big my drinks can be, otherwise who knows what could have happened.
Feel free to guzzle down a 2 liter bottle while you watch re-runs of seinfeld at home.
Meh. I don't really mind this. Really though, how much of FP lives in NYC anyways? Theater food is overpriced and I just drink water at the restaurants anyways. Try it sometime.
I live in New York State, only about an hour away from the city.
I guess I just find soda more harmful than weed. Is having a bit of citric acid here and there a particularly bad thing now? Ban lemons! Also, the amount of sugar in the soda you drink depends on how much you decide to drink. Well, not for long as local governments begin to regulate beverage size.
I'd rather judges be able to order obese people to lose their weight as they do with sending alcoholics to rehab
"You're too fat for your own good, in fact, you're morbidly obese. Therefor you're legally required to jog for 3 hours every day, and you're banned from eating ANY food a dietitian hasn't said good for" Oh if only.
Feel free to guzzle down a 2 liter bottle while you watch re-runs of seinfeld at home.
I drink straight 2-liters on occasion. I don't understand when Soda became the devils brew. And since when is watching Seinfeld like the sterotype for people who like to drink soda? That's like saying anyone who likes Wine watches Fraiser and if you drink you're a college student, and if you smoke weed you're a burnt out stoner.
To be fair, mediums are the size of larges at some restaurants.
Your small's are the large's here.. [editline]14th September 2012[/editline] My local cinema doesn't sell cups anymore though, only .5L plastic bottles.

And if you have a larger amount of something in front of you, odds are you're gonna try to finish it all off. It's human nature to finish your plate. Go home and set up a coca cola water fountain for all I care. [editline]14th September 2012[/editline] I think this law is a good attempt at addressing the obesity dealio is basically what I'm saying. Give it a chance and if it doesn't work repeal it.

You basically just said that weed is innocuous and soda is acidic as if it was a sort of relevant argument. [editline]14th September 2012[/editline] "weed isn't harmful. it's a plant! :downs:"
New York City, you're pretty silly.
Why even bring up the acidity of soda?
I thought soda was especially acidic but looking it on ze internet shows it isn't. I withdraw any mention of acid.
