What is the point of living when you're pretty much already dead?
Maybe he shot himself where somebody he knew was buried, and the reason why he did it was some bet they had years and years ago. "If you die first, I'm going to shoot myself standing over your grave." "No way, no you won't." "OH I'LL SHOW YOU." [editline]27th June 2014[/editline] I realize that's oddly specific, but it's just a cheap example. You know what I mean. :l
You do know you can kill yourself and be revived if you don't do it right.
Nah I´d never try to kill myself. I´m too much of a my glass is half full kinda guy. I just did it by accident once.

Maybe he did it there because he thought their souls would be together after death or something?
Really? When I was there, I barely saw any guards. Just a few by the Kennedy sites and other notable graves.
I went during April school vacation so that might be the reason.

He's retired, so maybe it was an old friend who was in the Pentagon or something. Hard to say.
One of my friends wife suicided by shooting herself in the chest with a gun he bought a like a year earlier because she kept bitching about wanting protection. He was messed up for a good while after that, and at one point it got worse because some dumb bitch was getting mouthy with him at a bar. he didn't want any of her attention so she mouthed off "ha what did your wife do, shoot herself?" That really tore him up when he was recovering and just prolonged his anguish. He finally got remarried a few years later because he's the kind of guy that can't live alone anymore.
Getting old may be one of the most goddamn depressing things out there. My grandma is in a care home now, and a lot of people there have lost their minds, but she hasn't. She just sits in a wheelchair, day in and day out, looking out a window. She can hardly lift her arms and needs help eating now. I go there to visit her and you walk down these hallways and there's some people who are bedridden, but still have their mind. They watch you as you go by. I usually wave and smile to them...they smile back. But it's so sad. I hate that place so much.

I'm sure many of them get few if any visitors.
I don't know how I'll really feel at that age. But from thinking, if you're sick and you've lived a full life - I wouldn't want to slowly die. Maybe he just got tired of waiting. That's 92 years of life. That man has 73 years more than I do. I can't imagine how I'll feel after another 73 years of my life.

If I had to make a guess, it was through OD
