It's probably the difference between people that only watch stuff that's been ported over here and people that watch stuff that hasn't been ported. There is a unsurprising amount of good stuff that hasn't been ported.
And there's not really anything wrong with westren stuff, just there's only ten comics that have been going on for 80 years or something.
