Site would be legit if it offered translations to untranslated manga. But really, if all it does is scan manga so you don't have to buy it. Screw them. Nothing of value is lost.
Manga is a bit expensive though. Roughly 10 euro for a cheap throw away book is a bit too much.
Personally I'm not a big fan of anime, there are very few that actually have caught my attention, but I wouldn't be retarded enough to assume all of it was terrible and anyone who watches it is a loser.
Thread title is misleading, A site that HOSTS scanlations is ceasing to do so, this will not stop scanlation groups from doing it. That's like saying TPB is shutting down, piracy is over.

The reason is that manga companies have stopped going "Oh, it's ok if they scanlate" and started going "Yeah, actually, we don't want you doing it anymore" which is why Onemanga has gone.
It's still not going to stop anyone though.

No it's not. For example, Azumanga Daioh is quite good, and I really enjoyed Uzumaki and Manhole. I was enjoying Yotsuba but that got taken down not soon after I started reading it.

1) Because they are not going to buy the comics in the first place
2) The people that don't buy them will probably spread the word, leading to more potential customers
3) They tend to be in Japanese, and the community translates them, so where else can you read manga in English if it wasn't translated by the company?
